The smell of the vanilla tea made Aural's body relax. The vanilla tea specially made by her mother always had a calming effect on her and these were the type of things she knew made her miss home. She could remember the way her mother hummed in the kitchen as she made the tea and prepared cookies.
Their voices would always fill the room with laughter and hope. That kind of love always made her feel safe. Guarded. Natured. Now she was constantly alone. Always trying to take things slowly whilst everyone else lived steadily.
