The crow looked on as the atmosphere turned tense.
The person they thought was bound to loose pathetically, scored a perfect 3 points from the center of the court.
This made everyone apprehensive for a moment and watch on like they would do when watching an important match.
Right now, on the court, the two of them stood infront of eachother, with the ball in Claire's hand after the Ivy scored.
''Ah... Before I forget, I am not spherophobic and, I have played basketball before, numerous times. I'm just saying this because I don't want you to put the blame of losing on the point that you thought I was spherophobic so was going easy on me, or that I took advantage of the fact that you didn't know I could play.'' Ivy shrugged nonchalantly but all her words hit like a hurricane on Claire.
Ivy's words clearly said that she is sure of winning today's match.
''You better not dream too much. I'll, for sure, make you cry later while watching the score difference.''
Claire bounced the ball straight towards the ring swiftly but before she could even walk two steps, the ball which was previously in her palm was now on it's way to the ring.
What the hell just happened!
It wasn't just Claire who was clueless as to what happened. They weren't actually clueless. They just didn't want to admit to it. How the fuck was that even possible?
Ivy just shifted her body posture a little such that she was closer to Claire but that was all. There was no extensive foot work or careful strategy. After shifting her posture a little, she just reached her hand out a little and voila! The ball was in her hand. With a slight shift and a little force, the ball was up in the air for a few seconds before entering the ring obediently.
This... this... Was she at her home or what? Where she can get whatever she wants with a raise of her hand. This... this is just to unbelievable. How did she even do that?
And the most shocked person out here was Claire. Being the only person directly involved, how could she not be shocked.
She clearly had the ball in her hand while going forward at the top speed she could. But within a second, the ball was already snatched from her and was up in the air.
At this moment, Claire really couldn't help the dread that her heart felt. For the first time, she felt that the decision of challenging Ivy to a match of basketball was a mistake on her part. She felt a sense of crisis awakening.
