Claire D.: @Ivy I challenge you to a basketball match. If you have the guts, come to the indoor basketball court to accept my challenge. If you aren't there in ten minutes, I'll take it as you accepting defeat. Come fast. I'll be waiting.
As soon as Claire's challenge got posted on the forum, everyone rushed towards the designated area for the challenge. Ofcourse, people didn't just quitely go there. The forum was more active than ever.
Nxudjdj: Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! That's playing dirty. Who in this school doesn't know that Ivy is spherophobic? She doesn't even go near a ball much less play it. This is really... really... urgh... I can't even find a word to describe just how low this trick is.
Ksuxbdj: Oh hell yeah! There is going to be a big show. I have been feeling bored for quite some time now. Finally I can have some fun watching such a great show.
Jddbdidj: I have great expectations from this fight. Don't let me down. #I'm so fucking excited.
Idbxhxjd: Those who aren't here yet, come fast. The entire court is almost full. The crowd today is much more than the crowd during the annual championship. Wow...
On the other hand, when Ivy saw the challenge Claire directed towards her, she felt really conflicted.
All her life, she had always loved challenges and fights. Never would she back down without giving it her everything. She would always try her best. So this time, just like everytime previously, she wants to take it on and give it her all. Afterall, seeing people slap their own faces was one of the things she loved doing.
But then, if she picks up a ball today, there would be no turning back. If those people catches wind of it, she will have to go back and play in the club. If that happens, getting into fights would become normal again, and so will making her mom disappointed.
One one hand, the challenge was making her blood boil while on the other hand, her mom's disappointed face that appeared in her mind was like a bucket of cold water making her hot blood calm down instantly.
The feeling of being stuck in a place where she could neither advance nor retreat made Ivy feel like an ant on hit pot. She didn't want to stay there, but she had no where to go.
Ivy cupped her hands together tightly as she walked and jumped and skipped. She moved so much in a place but she didn't make a move towards the indoor basketball court.
While she was moving about, a pair of hand cupped her's and the warmth that passed through made her calm down, be it in shock or the relief she felt at that instant.
