''Is she still sleeping?'' Mrs Gracia asked as she and Mrs Wilson filled the table with food.
''I'll go check on her godmom.'' Lyle said as he stood up from his seat and walked towards Ivy's room.
Knock Knock
''...''
''Ivy I'm coming in.'' Lyle announced before he pushed the door open.
Ivy was lying on the bed with her eyes closed and her breathing was also even.
Lyle slowly walked towards her bed and caressed her face softly.
''Ivy...'' Lyle slowly said right next to her ears. ''Stop pretending and get up. Breakfast is ready.''
''...''
''Ivy... your ears are already comparable to tomato.''
As soon as Lyle said that, Ivy immediately covered herself completely with her blanket.
''Alright now. Get out of there. Go wash yourself and join everyone for breakfast.''
Lyle pulled Ivy's blanket but she held it even tighter.
''Ivy... What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?''
''No. That... that's not... not it.'' Ivy's soft voice came from under the blanket
''Then? What's wrong?''
''I feel awkward. A little.'' Her hand poped out from the blanket and made a 'small' gesture using her fingers.
''This girl... Why are you even awkward? It's not like I haven't seen your weird sides. Especially your habit of eating too much.''
''Hey, I don't eat too much. I eat just enough to fill my stomach.'' Ivy immediately defended herself as she sat up straight on the bed.
''So when it comes to your stomach, you are willing to forget all awkwardness?''
''I... It's just that I don't usuly cry infront of others. So...''
''Enough. Now get up and come for breakfast or should I bring yours over here?''
''Don't you have anything to ask me?'' Ivy's voice was no longer awkward. Instead, it Now contained fear and guilt making it confident yet soft.
''I don't think so.''
Lyle's reply made Ivy's eyes widen up like saucer pans.
''Don't you want to ask about my face? About what mom hesitated when talking about my likes? About why I cried yesterday? Do you really have nothing to ask?''
''No. It's not like I need to know everything about you to be with you. I know you are someone I feel close with so I don't care about other details.'' 'I know I like you so why should I care about anything else?'
Though Lyle left the later part of his sentence unsaid, Ivy felt immensely touched by his words so she decided tocome clean with him.
''But I feel uncomfortable hiding things from you.''
