his unenthusiastic eyes glanced at the black suited people trembling on their seats

the automatic sliding glass door suddenly opened and Dean stepped out of the conference room ,all the workers who were running around stood erect and Immediately lowered their head

" and you think project jerrica was taken a long time ago and replaced by a fake draft which was unnoticeable until recently??" she asked again
dean was not surprised on how smartly she guessed his thoughts
" that means the theft was done by an insider planted as a spy to report the progress of the first draft and stole it as soon as he noticed project jerrica passed the trial stage which is the closest stage to the finish line "she moseyed to her desk ,typed some words on the computer
instantly a picture of the Elena necklace popped up in the screen aleksis studied the necklace for a moment and looked at dean with a faint smile

the man who is always cold ,calm and with a commanding presence became nervous
there was a long silence ,everyone absorbed in their thoughts
aleksis narrowed her eyes as she looked down at the man whose face was turned to the other side of the room

he felt strange ,he had shut off all the women in his life ,though he has been with many women and didn't' regard their feelings whatsoever he merely used them as playthings
his ,love ,feelings and emotions died the very day his beloved left him so why did his heart skipped a beat just looking at her face??
he massaged his brows helplessly and sighed.

" threatening me ?" his words held a bit of sarcasm
seeing his expression ,aleksis realized that she might have slipped and said something wrong
a very cold breeze swept passed her and she felt her back hit the wall ,a little yelp left her mouth
looking toward the desk she was standing behind a while ago ,her large eyes glanced around ,then blinked a few time ,dean moved towards her in a flash that sent papers flying round the room

his eyes changing colours and his nails long and sharp like claws
aleksis froze ,the sight horrified her that she may as well forgot to breathe
she somehow felt he meant every word of threat that dropped out of his mouth ,he was able to hide his identity and lived with the unsuspecting humans for a very long time ,so killing her would also be the same as removing dirt from his way,she suddenly felt like a sacrificial lamb
she searched her brain for something ,anything that could save her ,she suddenly blurted out" you..you can't hurt me"
she remembered she fought with those weird creatures bravely some weeks back even though she once thought they were masking up and were just petty thieves but Tasha's awkward party made her question their true identity and now that she is more wiser she would defeat him if push comes to shove
" you think?"he asked with an eyebrow raised still putting on his crazy smirk
" I know" she answered sharply
with aleksis backing the wall and Dean leaning down on her they both stood staring at each other for a very long time
dean finally took a step back
" deal" with one hand in his pocket ,he extended his left hand toward her
'phew ,that was close' she inwardly exclaimed shaking his hand
dean didn't need to ask her why she needed his help because he is fully aware of her dilemma
