"…I am one of those things from the legends." The moment that I said those words I felt like there had been cold water that was dumped down my back. I was scared and nervous, happy and excited, and minorly freaking out because I didn't know what was going to happen to me when Hudson had the time to process the words that I had just said. What was he going to say about me and my declaration.
"Oh come on Ocean, being gay doesn't make you a mythical creature." He laughed at me as he looked around the room. I knew that he was trying to get the others to laugh with him. He was waiting for us to drop the other shoe. He wasn't quite able to process that I was not what he thought that I was.
"No, Hudson, he is telling the truth." Makai took my hand and tried to make him see that we were telling the truth. "Ocean is one of those legendary creatures, and so am I."
