I woke up the next morning feeling calm and rested. That was new. At least new compared to how I had been lately. I also woke up feeling just a little nauseated.
"Here, Doc said to take these if you were feeling sick. You need to keep your strength up, which means that you need to eat." Makai was already starting to dote on me. Well, more than he usually did. I didn't know how I felt about that. I mean, I wasn't totally hating it, yet. Who could tell though, in a week, a month, or however long, I might get tired of it. "Go on, here is some juice." Makai pressed the medicine and a drink toward me.
"Thanks." I decided to let it all slide for now. He was just worried about me. I couldn't fault him for that.
"So, I was thinking that we could call your sisters over today. I know that we need to tell your family, and if we tell just the girls first, we might be able to get them to work for us rather than against us."
