I was feeling a little sick once we left the courthouse. I had just started to feel better, but then Momma had to go and say that we could have the meeting with all three of the Mer Clans now. That was not what I wanted to hear. I mean, come on, the trials were over, I just wanted to go home now. Why did I have to have so many crazy stressful things happening to me all at once?
"You boys go back to the house while Reef and I'll go and talk to the others. We will let you know when they are ready for the meeting."
"Momma?" I called out to her, feeling the queasiness roiling more and more.
"Yes, Ocean?" She was trying to be so calm, but I could hear the excitement in her voice. Was it for the meeting, or the residual happiness that I was going to be a father? I didn't know yet.
