I don't really know what happened for the rest of that day. I know that Makai and I went back to the apartment with the others. I know that I was given lunch, but I barely ate it. I know that I was given dinner, but I barely touched that as well. The nerves were running high for me.
I had listened to Tide threaten to come after me when he got out of prison. He was going to fuck me and kill me. Those had been the words that he had used. And he made that threat right in front of the entire courtroom.
What did the judge think of that? What about his lawyer? Was his lawyer angry at me? Was he going to come after me? What was going to happen now. I think that I was just lost in a daze of thoughts so much that I couldn't stop my mind from spinning the questions around and around inside of my head.
"Here, take this." Makai walked into the living room and shoved something into my hand.
