As I was looking at the scene around me, I saw that the women that attacked me were sitting in a separate group. There was Avisa, Ula, Naida, Remora, Bay, Angel and Pearl. They all had their hands bound behind their backs and their feet tied so that they could not run. When I looked at them though, I saw that Ula was looking at me.
"I got what I wanted, Ocean. I got what I needed. And when I get out of these cuffs, when I go free, I will be able to raise a new child that was fathered by a Siren and not a human. This child will be the beginning of a new era."
"What?" I was lost about what she was saying. "You don't know that, Ula. You don't know if you got what you wanted or not. Nothing is guaranteed." I sincerely hoped that she was not right about that. What was going to happen to her child if she was right. And was she going to get out of this? Was she not going to be punished for what she and the others did to me?
