Cari screamed at me. I could see that her eyes were almost as red as her face. She was on the verge of tears, but the anger seemed to be keeping the tears at bay for just a little while longer.
"Is talking to your brother that difficult? Is knowing that you had a brother and not a sister really that unfathomable? I am here, Cari! I am right in front of you! Wake the fuck up and smell the ocean, I am here."
"Do not mind her, boy. We will go to talk. She will go and bring her mother to my chambers so that we can get to the end of this. Won't you, Cari?" Avisa, the Chieftain, glared at the woman as she spoke.
