I could not believe what I had just heard. Did my mom just tell me that Uncle Abe, Dr. Malachi, Doc, whatever name you wanted to call him by, was dating my now sister in-law? Seriously? How was that even possible?
"Abraham, can you please explain this to me?" My dad seemed just as shocked about this as I was. As my mom was. And of course, as Ocean seemed to be. The four of us just looked at him as we waited.
I thought that for sure he would try to act defensive or something. He would try to convince us of what had happened. Something like that. I mean, he was an adult, and both of Ocean's sisters were adults, so there was nothing legally wrong with it.
