This was all quite some time ago.
She always smiled. That's as far as Francis could recall. It might not have been true, but that's what he knew her to be like. Even in times, where no human should be able to laugh, she did. For what reason, he had no idea whatsoever. Was it only to brighten up their days? Was she just that happy all the time?
Reality sometimes is just as simple, as you make it out to be. Even when she died, she didn't show a glimpse of regret, bitterness, or even sadness. She just smiled, until she passed, leaving a grieving family behind. That's how she thought it should've been. The way she lived, she should pass.
The day she died was sad for the entire Family. They did not only loose a member, just a brother, no. They had lost their Mother as well. She wasn't just a leader, that had to be there, because no one else was, she chose to do so fought for it, and decided to teach them something they can take to their graves.
