Chapter 1 - Death

War; that's all Gabriel has ever known. Since he was eighteen he never had a talent with anything other than a gun. He trained himself mentally and physically. But none of that mattered now. A twenty-six year old man on the ground bleeding to death. 'How did this happen?" he thought.

40 minutes earlier

Gabriel was guarding a spot were his unit was interrogating a woman on how she escaped her slave captors. Sooner than then, a bullet was shot into his abdomen. Then four more shots were fired off; the woman came out of the building then crouched down to Gabriel.

She then stuck her finger into his wound; making him howl in pain. "How does it feel Gabe?" she said. Later she left; while Gabriel bled to death. All he saw was darkness. Next he knew, all he saw was a green forest.

He saw weird animals. From a twelve pointed antlered dear to a crested bird. He saw that his clothes were replaced and he was wearing a cotton tunic, cotton trousers, and leather open toe sandals. He saw a puddle and moved to it.

He was surprised, he was a kid, albeit different looking. Instead of tan skin he had caucasian skin, and lime-mint green hair instead of brown. "Holy crap." he exclaimed. He then heard a faint noise that sounded like a woman. He was correct as a woman with the same hair colour appeared.

"Jeremiah; where are you honey!" she yelled worriedly. Gabriel knew that must be him, so he did what a kid would do. "MOMMY OVER HERE!!!" he yelled. The woman ran to him and hugged him as if he'd disappear again. "Oh thank the lords." she exasperated. "Where were you young man?" she asked.

All he did was shrug but hugged her. To Gabriel/Jeremiah he hadn't hugged anyone since his real mom died when he was at age eight. It felt nice to him. The woman sighed, picked him up then left. As they were walking Jeremiah saw what looked to be a village...but the people looked different. There was a person with ram horns herding sheep with a dog, another with pale white skin and red eyes. Then finally Jeremiah saw a nice looking mansion on top of a hill, well more like big cabin.

At the porch stood a woman with horns, white hair with black splotches, and a tail was standing and waiting for them. "Honey there you are!" said the woman reaching for Jeremiah, she kissed his forehead. From what he could tell he had two moms. But he looked and saw a man in the distance with a long greenish beard walking to them.
