The sound of the EGC, Could be heard! she found herself walking down the hall barefooted, Suddenly the scene changed, she was in that strange office again but this time she was in the second room which was filled with a lot of weird machines she was seeing for the first time in her life, it sent a shiver down her spine.
Then she saw a button, it was boldly written by the side "click if you want to know more".
Sophia was skeptical about pressing the button, she moved forward slowly, then she stopped when she was close enough. 5s passed before she finally made up her mind, she closed her eyes and pressed the button.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5... She counted in her head but to her surprise nothing happened. She pressed it again and still nothing happened.
Hmm! Well I guess it's broken!
No it's not!
A strange voice spoke out but she couldn't see any body.

Her voice was cracked due to intense nervousness.

The voice called out continuously but it was as though sophia became mute.

The alarm rang and sophia quickly got up, she was soaked with beads of sweat, panting hard, she felt a light buzz in her ear. She turned and looked around no one was around. She sighed and got up with a troubled look on her face, she was trying to figure out if that was real or if it was just a dream.
7:00 Monday morning!
Sophia stood before the big building, dressed in one of the corporate attire with sandals that had a little heel. ms alexandra bought for her, she looked elegant yet simple.
Okay! here we go! She turned back and gave a light nod to Ms. Alexandra, then she walked into the building.
She was told to go to the same place, the interview was held. She gave a greeted the guards and stepped into the elevator. as she walked in she felt really nervous, so she made sure she pressed the right button this time.

She stepped out of the elevator, and saw that some people were already present. she recognized some persons she saw during the interview, she walked over and sat down, waiting to be addressed.
Congrats on passing the interview, welcome to the Blue tech company!. Matilda dressed in a black pant-suit and kittens heels, smiled as she spoke with elegance.
Everyone's attention was on her including Sophia's. Tsk... she's actually pretty from any angle i look at her, sophia thought as she checked her out.
Okay you've all been assigned to different departments, she passed down different files to everyone except sophia.

A nice and calm voice was heard and everyone turned towards it.

While he was busy discussing with matilda she was busy thinking of what he was trying to pull off because she knew he had something up his sleeves.
Jason halted his steps when he was about to enter the office, he turned and noticed that no one was following him. Sophia! He called out again sounding rather displeased.
Oh! Sophia finally snapped out of her train of thoughts, she got up and hurried behind jason.
The other ladies were left with wishful thinking of being close to jason.
Sophia couldn't help but gasp as she walked into the office, it was like a VR world, it was so sophisticated, then she turned and saw jason sitting in the center, he was like a painting.
Ahem! Young lady come back to reality, it's just your first day yet you're already lost.
Sophia scoffed! Young lady, You're just two yrs older okay! She didn't say it loud but jason could tell that she was saying something.

Actually zack is my assistant but he has a lot going on for now, but he'll still guide you through the process and with time you'll be able to bear the responsibilities. He watched as she walked out of the office. He picked his phone and dialed a number.

Sophia was taken to an office in the same floor as jason's office, it was big and well furnished, she was told that this was where all the assistants to different departmental heads stayed.
Sophia walked in and everyone just glanced at her and continued typing or doing something else.
Hhew! She sighed in relief, She was actually glad that they reacted this way cuz she didn't want to attract attention to herself.
She looked around and saw a vacant seat, she walked over sat down and started carefully arranged her things.

Sophia was completely lost, she had absolutely no idea what she was doing, she looked around and no one paid any attention to her.
Sigh! She picked up her phone and started playing games with it, to pass time.

Before he could even finish zack was already out of the office. He rushed over to check the new assistant. He quickly got up and trailed behind, just in case he tried to pull up some stunts.
Zack stood by the door, he scanned through and his eyes fell on a petite figure, her head was lowered, he could tell she was busy playing games, and she was so attached that she lost touch with her surrounding.
Zack quietly walked in, he signaled the others to be quiet and he slowly walked towards sophia who had her head bowed.
Before he could even touch her, she turned and gave him a warning look, zack jumped in shock, he was planning a sneak attack but it actually backfired.

Everyone's attention was to the figure standing by the door, they've never seen him laugh or smile since he came but right now, they heard him laugh so gently.

Jason loosened his tie, he walked out of his office, He wanted to see how sophia was doing. He got to the door and looked inside just few staffs were inside.
He went to the lounge and he couldn't find her. Has she gone home already? He then remembered that zack told him earlier that she was in lab.
As he walked to the lab, a lot of workers greeted him he just gave a nod to them.
He got to the lab in few minutes, it was on the floor with his office. A lot of people came to meet him.
No don't worry I'm just looking around you can go back. He quickly dismissed them and went to look around by himself.
He walked about for a while and he couldn't find what he was looking for. He then went to the visual room and he finally saw the girl he's been looking for.
Sophia was testing a new game so she wearing some goggles and she had a battle stance, the battle was probably intense because she was moving with so much vigor.
