Absolute silence followed after. Even though the information sounded silly and overblown, the tone of Priest's casualness in conveying it, made it more considerable and believable to the young lads.
"Have you fought against such people? The people who wanted to open the doors?" Kat asked, with her head facing down. Her tone made the information sound more personal to her.
Not wanting to leave the youngsters in dark, Priest revealed the necessary bits of the larger picture, so they can get an understanding of what was going to come.
