Chapter 45 - Chapter 43

In the middle of the forest a young man was desperately fleeing from his pursuers. Although for the moment there was no danger, the figures were getting closer and closer.

Swish

As he continued to run Allan heard a sound approaching so he dropped to the ground fast enough that the arrows that were fired at him missed by an almost non-existent margin, after which he got up and continued running.

"Uff, seriously, at what time -uff did I think this was a good idea?" Allan said quietly as he kept running.

To avoid being hit by the arrows he started running in a zigzag, but that made his pursuers get closer and closer to him.

"Ahg"

-40

Just when it looked like the chase was going to continue for a while one of the arrows hit Allan on the shoulder, causing him to lose his balance and fall to the ground. Allan tried to get up from the ground without success, only being able to see how his pursuers got closer and closer.

Seeing his injured prey and unable to move, his enemies smiled and began to slow down and readied their weapons to finish him off.

BAAM

Just as they were about to catch up with Allan the ground opened up at his feet.

Allan got up from the ground as if nothing had happened and watched as his pursuers were wounded and killed by the sharp weapons that were at the bottom of the trap.

After examining that they were all inside, Allan breathed a sigh of relief and fell back to the ground.

And a hundred. At last, I'm done "said Allan" A hundred goblins! How can someone want a hundred goblins? "

Allan has not slept in the game for two days to fulfill the promise he made to Roderick.

In order for Roderick to convince the mayor to give them alcohol from him, Allan had to hand over the hundred dead goblins as well as the skeleton of the wolf.

Alan tried to negotiate other conditions and even threatened to take the wolf's skeleton but Roderick was unmoved.

So, Allan had no choice but to start hunting goblins the day before yesterday.

Fortunately, goblins live in groups of five to ten and in caves, so Allan didn't have to search for them one at a time.

While he was about to finish his Trap Making skill went up one level so it cannot be said that he did all this in vain.

Right?

...

"98, 99 and 100" Allan said as he counted the goblins.

When the last goblin was placed on the table Allan glared at Roderick as if he was going to fight him if he dared say he wasn't going to keep his part of the deal.

For better or for worse Roderick ignored Allan as he examined the state of the bodies, and after a few minutes of waiting in which Allan was beginning to lose patience.

"That would be it, the alcohol will be sent to the inn you are staying at," said Roderick as he turned and went into the back room. He obviously wasn't going to say goodbye.

Seeing Roderick's attitude, Allan felt the need to follow him and start fighting with him but reason told him that he would only die again. Allan armed with all the patience in the world left the store as fast as he could, nothing good would come out of staying in that place any longer.

Coming back to the necessary preparations, although Allan has been hunting goblins these days that does not mean that he has done only that. During this period and with the help of Sara and Tom the preparations for the party are ready: Food, place and other things, everything was prepared. They even got a musician to attend to improve the atmosphere. You can tell that Sara and Tom were the real organizers of the party.

That is not to say that Allan's role was not important, he had the most crucial role of all, paying the bill. After all, Allan can't make others pay for his party, it was enough for Sara to convince her father to cook for them.

As for the place of the party, due to the large number of people who were invited, it was not appropriate to do it in a local, so Tom asked Captain Smith for permission so that the party could be held in the square and whoever wanted to enter.

When Allan arrived at the party venue, he saw that the venue was extensively decorated and there were large tables for setting up food and a small stage for the musician. Evidently, they had put a lot of effort into preparing the party.

"Hey, how was everything? You look terrible" Seeing that Allan had just entered the plaza, Sara approached him to ask if he had gotten the drink.

"No problem, the alcohol will be shipped to us soon," Allan said, although he has said that he actually has no idea when it will be 'soon', it's a shame the only person who could get the alcohol is such a vague guy.

"That's fantastic, we're almost done here. Everyone has heard about the celebration and they are eager to participate, the last party that was held was so long ago that there are people who do not even remember it anymore" Sara said with emotion in her voice. Obviously, she is also looking forward the party.

"I'm glad, the more the merrier. Sara, I'm going to lie down for a bit, wake me up in a few hours" Allan said, Roderick's mindless tasks have left him so drained that he can barely stand.

"Sure, you rest, we are almost finished here" Sara answered when she saw the state in which Allan was.

Allan went to the inn to sleep for a few hours, after spending two days in a row looking for goblins he deserved a little rest.

...

"... lan"

As Allan was resting peacefully on the bed, he suddenly heard a noise.

"A..an"

Although he tried to ignore it with all his might that annoying sound was getting louder and harder and harder to ignore.

"ALLAN !!!"

"AAAhhhhhh" Hearing someone yell his name, Allan was startled, his eyes snapped open and his heart was pounding.

When he saw that nothing was happening Allan began to calm down and looked around him who had woken him up, only to meet the gaze of an annoyed Sara.

That's not good.

"What's happening? Why are you screaming? " Allan asked as he tried to understand what was going on.

"What are you talking about? I have come to wake you up, the party is going to start" said Sara.

"WHAT? But not even ten minutes have passed" said Allan surprised. He didn't think the people here were so eager to party that they couldn't wait for the night.

"What do you say about ten minutes? It's already night, ten hours have passed" said Sara as he looks at the state he was.

"WHAT?" Allan said for the second time.

When Allan was still half asleep, Sara picked him up from the bed and carried him to the window.

Outside the inn you could see a beautiful starry sky and, in the distance, you could see an illuminated area from which some noise was prevented.

"I've really been sleeping twelve hours" Allan muttered when he saw the time that had passed.

(I must be more tired than I thought) Allan thought.

"That's what I've been saying, come on get up, the party is going to start"
