(Jace's Pov)
Today is the day. The day I am going to propose to the women I love. I asked everyone if it's okay for me to ask her to marry her, and everyone started to freak out and said yes. Izzy was all over it and already had planned most of it. Izzy wouldn't let me do anything except show up and pop the question. All I could think about was how nervous I was, the small chance that she would say no. And that small chance of her saying no was breaking my heart. This girl was the love of my life and our lives are very dangerous. I do not want to wait any longer to make this girl completely mine. There are so many chances of something bad happening before we could get married.
I quietly leave her room and make my way outside. Getting on the motorcycle Clary stole from her dad. Instead of proposing in the greenhouse, I decided that it would be more romantic if it was at this very important spot to both of us. I want to do it at the place where we had our first kiss. I still can't believe I was her first kiss. I know she doesn't count those bad memories as an actual first kiss. From the moment I saw her I knew she was the one and that she was extra special.
I get pulled out of my thoughts by Izzy yelling at me to come over to her. I start to laugh a bit and then I turn the key and turn off the bike. Making my way to her. As I get closer to her, I start to look around at what she has done. Everything was so beautiful, there were lights streaming across the trees. With balloons tied to the trees along with a beautiful dinner for two right in the middle of the trees. The table for two was on a beautiful picnic blanket. Rose petals were scattered everywhere.
"Izzy oh my god this is amazing, Clary is going to love it." I say, still looking around.
"I know I'm the best," Izzy said, flipping my hair
"Let's hope she says yes," I say.
"Jace, trust me there is no way she will say no. You have no idea how much she loves you." Izzy spoke. This makes me so happy. I looked down at the time and realized that it was and started to panic.
"Well, I have to go, it is 3:00 pm and I am going to go tonight at 8:00 pm." I say. Izzy nods her head.
"Well, I will help Clary, get ready when I am done," Izzy spoke.
I hop back on the bike and make my way back to the institute. Once I get to the institute, I rush upstairs. When I reach Clary's door, I take a deep breath. I slowly knock on the door and wait for her to answer. She doesn't answer right away so I slowly open the door to see her on her bed. Listening to music and sketching. She quickly looks up at me and takes off her headphones, walking over to me.
"Hey, what's up?" Clary says, going in for a hug. I quickly hug her back and once I let go, I put my hands on her shoulder.
"Would you like to go on a date with me tonight, at like 7:30 pm." I ask, my heart pumping really fast.
"Oh my god yes!" Clary yells, hugging me really tight. I start to smile really big.
"Okay, get ready by 7:00 pm." I say, walking out of the room. I run over to my room to see that everything is almost back to the way it used to be. I go lay down on my bed just thinking about how perfect tonight has to be. There is no one else I would rather be with, than her. I decided I am going to take a quick nap before I start to get ready.
(Clary's Pov)
Once Jace leaves my room, I run straight to my closet to look for an outfit. Tossing all my clothes out of my closet searching for the perfect outfit. That was until I found this blue velvet skin tight dress with a slit on the left side of the dress, it was so long that it hid my feet. And there was a note on it.
Dear Clary,
Here is an outfit I bought for you. When Jace told me what he was planning I knew it would be perfect for you to wear it tonight. You will look drop dead gorgeous in this dress and I know Jace would think so. Put this on and there are black strappy heels at the bottom of your closet. I will get to the institute as fast as I can to help you with your makeup.

Oh, thank god Izzy is an angel. I have no idea how I would survive dating Jace without her help. I quickly put the dress and shoes on. I go over to the mirror and look at myself, I look so beautiful. I get knocked out of my thoughts when I hear the door open and close. I turn to look to see Izzy standing there. Getting confused and looking at the time to see that it was already 5.
"Oh my god, I knew you would look amazing!" Izzy exclaims.
"You're the best, thank you so much," I say, going in for a hug. She quickly hugs me back.
"Ok, let's get you ready, we don't have a lot of time." Izzy says, pushing me over to her vanity.

After about another 30 minutes, Izzy had done some dark blue eyeshadow along with some pink lip gloss. Izzy made me put on a few bracelets and necklaces. I have no idea why she bothered to add them, but I trust her. Something is up with Jace, I can tell that he is nervous. It makes me so nervous and worried about what will happen tonight. What if he completely changed his mind and decided he doesn't want to be with me. Feeling butterflies in my stomach, my heart beating. My heart is like there is some kind of dance party that is going on. Suddenly, I feel someone shake me. Immediately pulls me out of my thoughts and runs to the door. I fixed my hair as Izzy had just straightened it. Taking a few deep breaths, before opening the door. Slowly opening the door to reveal a very handsome Jace. I slowly look down at his body to see that he is wearing a black suit. I then realized that I am frozen and can't take my eyes off of him.
"Clary? Earth to Clary!" Izzy says, waving her hand in front of my face. Nothing seems to work so I guess she decides that it is best to slap me.
"Ow! Izzy what's the fuck was that for?" I ask, raising my hand up to rub my cheek.
"You wouldn't stop staring at Jace. It's time for your date," Izzy says, and it makes me blush. I look down, keeping my eyes away from Jace's. Izzy then pushes toward Jace and closes the door behind me. Jace puts his hand under my chin to make me look at him. Immediately a smile appears on my face once our eyes meet.
"You look absolutely gorgeous." Jace says.
"Thank you, you are also very handsome." I said.
"I think I got it, since you wouldn't stop staring at me." Jace says, smirking at me.
"L - Lets just go," I say, looking away. Jace starts laughing and links our arms together. We both start making our way down the stairs and once we exit the institute all I see is my motorcycle. It was covered in small decorations. Confused on why he has put them on the bike, Jace sees my face and smirks. He walks down the outside stairs and gets on the bike, turning it on. He waves for me to come over. I slowly walked down the steps, picking up the dress so I could see my feet. Once I approach the bike, I slowly get on. Lifting my dress up so that it isn't hanging too low. Gently wrapping my hands around his waist as he starts driving. Enjoying the ride as I am looking around and watching the stars.

I had completely lost track of the time, as I was looking up at the stars. Jace startles me when gets off at a lightning speed. Jace reaches his hand out for me, I quickly take his hand and get off of the bike. Once I am off, he immediately covers my eyes with his hands. I start giggling and put my hands on top of his trying to remove them.
"W - What are you doing?" I ask, as I continue to giggle.
"You are just going to have to wait and see," Jace said, laughing as well. A few minutes later he takes his hands off of my eyes. As my eyes adjust to the light, all I hear is some romantic music starting to play. There were fairy lights hanging on the trees with a dinner for two in the middle. My eyes start to water as I turn around to look at him. His face gets worried as he sees tears in my eyes. I run forward and jump on top of him. He immediately catches me and I lift my legs up, tightening my hold on him. When I finally go, Jace moves his hand to my cheek and wipes my tears away.
"It is so beautiful, " I say, sniffling.
"Anything for you, you know that." He says. After we take a moment to calm down, he leads me to the dinner table. Jace pulls out the chair for me and waits for me to sit down, pushing it a bit forward once I do. He quickly goes over to the seat across from me and sits down. I look down to see a beautiful meal right in front of us.
"You're amazing, you know that?" I say smiling. Jace just smiles and starts to eat.
-10 Minutes Later-
Half way through our meal, Jace stops and looks at me. I slowly look at him and start to get confused. I then look at his face and how he is fidgeting with his hands. His forehead was covered in small beads of sweat. His breathing is heavy and fast.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
"Y - Yeah I am fine," He says, nervously.
"You don't seem fine?" I look more intense. He then gets up and goes over to me. He then grabs me and makes me stand up. I am so confused and have no idea what he is doing.
"Clary, I love you so much." He says.
"I love you so much too," I say. Jace then did the unthinkable and got down on his knee. He then pulls out a black little box and opens it to show the most beautiful ring I have ever seen. I am so shocked, tears are running down my face. My hands immediately go to my mouth and cover my mouth.
"You are the only woman I want for the rest of my life, no one else. You have no idea how much you mean to me. The only one I want is to have kids with. I cannot lose you, I will never lose. I can not live without you and I don't attend to. You are my best friend and everytime I see you my heart becomes full. Full of my love for you. So Clarissa Adele Morganstern will you do me the honor and make me the happiest man alive and marry me? Will you become Clarissa Adele Herondale?" Jace asks, tears in his eyes.
"Oh my god! Yes, Yes of course!" I said, jumping up and down. Jace immediately gets up and hugs me. He picks me up as we are hugging and I wrap my legs around his waist. Both of us cried our eyes out, as I started laughing a bit. Not wanting to let go, but I can't breathe because of how tight he is hugging me. When he finally lets go and puts me down, he grabs the ring out of the box. Takes it and grabs my hand, slipping it on my left ring finger. Once it's on I quickly take a look and then I grab his face, pulling him in for a kiss. The kiss was sloppy and really messy. But I poured out all my love into it. Each second longer the kiss continues to get more heated. When we finally pulled away, both of us were breathless. As we are taking a few deep breaths, we both lean in and have our foreheads pressed up against each other.
"I can't believe you even said yes," Jace says, caressing my face.
"Of course, I would say yes. I would say yes a million times over and over again. You are the love of my life and I can't wait to be Clarissa Herondale," I say.
"You are so amazing," He says.
"You know, to be honest, I was really nervous about this date. I knew you were planning something and I thought that you would break up with me," I say, looking down.
"What? Clary why in the hell would you be thinking that," Jace asked. Our faces are still very close together.
"I - I thought you had changed your mind after everything. After everything we have been through with my messed up family. I thought you would chicken out and not want me." I say. Looking away from him.
"Clary baby, never in my life would I ever think about breaking up with you." Jace spoke, making me look back up at him. Both of us leaned in for another kiss. As the rest of the night ran along, we decided we didn't want to go back to the institute. So instead we went to the beach for both of us to celebrate, just the two of us. As I looked out into the water, all I thought about was our future. But before I knew it, I was stripping down all of my clothes. Jace sees this and gets very confused.
"W - What are you doing?" Jace asks.
"What does it look like I am doing, I am having fun." I say. I ran towards Jace as I was fully naked, pulling him in for a quick kiss. When I pull away, I run towards the beach, jumping in. The water is freezing cold, but it is worth it to see Jace's face. It just made me burst out laughing.
"You are completely crazy!" Jace yells back at me, laughing.
"Come on, don't be a party pooper! We are ENGAGED!" I yelled back. I guess I really got to him because he immediately started stripping. Once he jumps in, immediately he comes over to me. Pulling me in by my waist. Kissing me all over, slowly making his way to my lips. The rest of the night was amazing and by the time we were tired it was around 3 am. It started to get really cold, so we quickly went out of the ocean and went to a hotel. I booked a room and once we got in the room Jace laid down on the bed as I took a shower.
