Raiki the god of Frost and Somnia is a regional God which ruled once ruled over the Frost filled region where now the body of the Lady of the Thesaurus house lies.
Raiki was a very hostile god to the immortals. During their conflict. As he had learnt the truth behund their conflict. And he supported the Gods side.
At first there was no concern. For years there was a strained peace. A false era of peace had begun. Where it felt like everything was peaceful both in the lands and the stil developing capital. But this era was short lived. As there was a sudden attack by a God in the capital. Specifically it was Raiki.
Raiki had alone attacked the capital and due to him there was immense death tolls. The capital was covered with a very thick blizzard weather. And one by one the systems of the capital started failing on them.
And one by one those inflicted with frostbite fell under a deep sleep unable to even wake up.
Even the defense systems of the capital were susceptible to the cold. And broke down despite being very advanced.
And thus the immortals retaliated. All the forces of the capital the mages, combat mages, the army and the three immortals themselves joined hands. As they finally captured Raiki and Raiki was imprisoned.
But tensions were high as due to the high tolls of death in the capital the citizens who were peacefully living Their lived under the cover of the capital demanded revenge and their revenge was delivered to them.
For after a long while the Witch of Extinction Maria von Lopez struck down The God of Technology and Advancements : Phizon.
And then there was once again a ceasefire. Because this ceasefire was important for both the God's and the Immortals.
For the God's it served purpose to stockpile more and more mana. While for the humans it was to build their strength.
But only one side repaed the benefits. The Gods were directly benefitted with more humans. As they just coulfbget more mana.
But for humans as their number increases so does their total strength but so does the mana.
It's like giving points to the other team just to assemble a new game team for the human side.
They are now winning and you have just now assembled your team to play against the God such is the handicap they suffer.
And the one dollar question what happened to Raiki after that.
He was imprisoned deep within the Layers of the Capital. Where every one of his arms and legs were punctured and it was made sure that Raiki wouldn't be able to make or absorb mana. He was completely isolated.
Then why didn't they just kill him. Because if Raiki was killed then it would had cause serious implications.
Because the relation is not clear yet.
Raiki is still Imprisoned and had been for half a millenia.
But no matter how much you hide the truth either by fate or by deliberation. Someone would eventually find out
Let's do this in a story format.
Once upon a time there was a huge city which was known fondly vy everyone as the capital. This city was sometimes also referred to as the city of a thousand miracles. Andany would come to the capital to find that same miracle.
These miracles were no short of being very beautiful.
For the blind could see again, the dear could hears the chirps of the birds, the mute could once again sing in a beautiful voice. The diseased were cured. The amputated regained their arms. The weak became strong, the mentally ill became sane.
The poor became rich. Such was a place called the capital.
It was a place where everyone can dream and make them true.
And there lived a couple Mr and Mrs Thesaurus. Both working under the mixed department of the Witch of Extinction and Ikaros. Since it was a mix of both work would come flooding in from both departments. They were mostly occupied with the flow of work coming in from all sides.
Most work was taken care of Artificial Intelligence but every work it did needed to be evaluated by a human.
Not because the Ai was poor in its job. It would run all tasks at nearly 99.99% without mistakes.
But just as ai evolved through the years so did humans.
Humans became so capable that they could outsmart Ai. Because Ai has just only one liablitiy to be creative.
And Humans fill that gap more than enough.
But when it was used to predict the aftermath of MEP. It was correct except one thing. Still it was passed off as correct.
One day when Mr Thesaurus was working he was called into the main headquarters by Lord Ikaros's secretary.
The meeting time was set for them around noon. At a nearby fusion restaurant not too shabby nor too high class.
Just a standard resturant. Where Mr Thesaurus strolled inside he was hit with a spicy aroma and the smell of vegetables swirling around the pan. It was a refreshing feeling that made him hungry.
He looked around the resturant and sat on a table in the corner. And after a few minutes a woman with violet whose eyes were covered with sunglasses sat right before me.
And even inside she refused to remove her glasses.
Secretary :
I presume you are Mr Lance Thesaurus. I am Lord Ikaros's secretory Vera. I'm going to make this short since I am in a bit of a hurry.
You have been screened for a promotion. And it includes both you and your wife.
Lance :
A promotion I am thrilled to hear that.
Secretary :
Good, you will be sent West to a certain kingdom where you will be replacing the current Duke. And you will be responsible for controlling and expanding the influence of the Foundation in the west as much as possible without force. This is my Lord's order.
Lance :
I'm sorry I have to leave the capital?
Secretary :
Yes.
Lance :
But I have a kid and I can't leave my parents alone.
Secretary :

The secretary got up from her chair and started to leave that's when Lance stopped her.
Lance :

She walked out of the restraunt.
Lance at that time was living with one kid and his wife with his parents already living a retired life. They were a humbly living small family.
He was not at an age where he could understand responsibilities properly. After their duties for the day were over they before lunch they sat on the table and Lance discussed with them.
Lance :
Honey I have something to say today.
Lance's expressions were someone of that who was stuck between two choices.
Lena :
Has something happened why does your face looks grim.
Lance :
Today I have received a promotion.
Lena :
Wow, that so good. Congrats Honey.
Lance :
But we have to move away from the capital. And I mean both of us.
Lena :
Then what about our son. He is not old enough to understand anything and survive out there.
Lance :
That's why I am going to decline this offer. Both of you are more important to me than this promotion.
Lena :
Lance you can't just leave this opportunity. Lord Ikaros chose you himself for this. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

And this got their son riled up.
Son :
Don't worry father I will protect this home and grandpa and grandma from everyone so you can leave everything to me.
And thus their path was set towards a new life away from the capital. In the west.
Two days later same time same place.
Secretary :
Have you made up your mind.
Lance :
Yes I have made up my mind. I will be accepting the promotion.
Secretary :
Excellent. Then I shall brief you the rest.
One you have to be undercover and act as a Duke.

That day they held a small party where their neighbors, relatives and close friends were also invited.
