Leris, it's been a millenia but I still remember you.
If I knew the lie of the world earlier then I could have saved you. The lie of mana.
I wish my words could reach to you. But only those accursed gods know where you are.
As they were the ones who took you away from me when you passed away.
I saw a glimmering hope when I was standing in the ruins of
Chroma. Everything went as Maria foretold. Except one thing I didn't think that the both of them would be there.
Alongside you I also searched for them. But it was as if they didn't know me. They acted like they met me for the first time. And despite it being true I was puzzled.
But now I know the ones I knew have returned.
They are standing against me in my mission. I would like to stand down. But this will be one of the most critical moment that will define the future ahead. The future of the lands depend on it.
Everything depends on the MEP.
While all three of us are searching for descendents. This is not the time to select one.
And I would once again greet them not as Ikaros the boy searching for his parents but :
Ikaros of the Immortal Foundation.
Only then I would be able to convince myself that I'm not the boy I once was.
Lost log ends.
Jay had taken a step back to the starting line.
Jay had realized that if we doesn't get ris of the reaper he can't move forward. Just like a video game roadblock.
The best think he can do now is support the army.
Fortunately it looks like he doesn't know about the existence of McElroy who is secretly trying to sneak on the island.
When I landed with Ragnar his face seemed like he was already dead. Even the trip back to the starting line was hellish after all.
We were faced by arrows shot by the at meant for the demons, which we somehow dived through then safely.
Then the spell of the mages pooling their mana to fire off a stronger spell.
For me that fire would be like a small lighter flame. But I had Ragnar with me.
Even the mana swordsman joined up with the mages in order to provide more firepower to the attack.
Because of the very complex calculation that they have made.
More mana = bigger explosion = more asuras killed.
And someone among them has to be a person from the future. Because who the hell brings a trebuchet to a supposedly naval battle. Or even aerial. As a result even the might of the trebuchet shined on the battlefield as when a projectile supposedly made of metal or was launched it would be accelerated even more by metal magic users which are even rarer than I thought . But they managed to be recruited.
Scenario changes to the island.
Ikaros :
Release the Loki.
Reaper :
Sure.
Scene changes again to the battlefield.
In the stormy weather in the middle of the sea the demon hunter army pushed ahead with their full power. And holds the line of demons. As obvious as it is the bodies of the dead asuras and humans are consumed by the sea. Where eventually they are consumed by the large fishes that live there.
At the fishes gathered at the side of the border as they anticipated more prey to be followed.
Livia being the matriarch stayed behind while the monks fought for her. And they used every trick in the book to trip the demons such that they would not stand again for battle.
The fished waited very patiently as the sea slowly consumed the remains.
Jay Garrick when joined the battlefield. All of the focus of the asuras shifted on him. Mainly the ones who were actually facing him. He had somrhinf that made the asuras see him with disgust.
The war on the asuras started to tilt in the favor for the humans.
While there was no response from Ikaros.
Raiker :
Jay, you should take a break now you've been fighting for a long time.
Raiker is one of the men he met on the battlefield. When he was about to be killed by the enemy who had raised his dagger up in the air to strike him down. Jay threw his spear
And killed the asuras as well as three other asura in line.
Jay :
Thanks but I think I can do some more.
Raiker :
I've seen one thing you don't use mana as much as other mana swordsman.
Jay :
I'm storing and saving mana for the future.
Raiker :
Hey look out.
An asura swung his weapon towards Jay at full spread from his head. And smashed it into the ground.
He was then stabbed by Jay and the elemental stone inside the spear head reacted to Jay's mana flowing inside the spear and the enemy exploded from the inside.
Everything was going great. The asura felt like they were blindly following a line. But then someone came forward he was different from the asuras.
He wore a red cape had a robotic head with four red eyes staring right into Jay. His torso was covered with knives.
So much that it was difficult to see underneath.
His legs were covered with black paint and steel which was made from a durable material.
As soon as he arrived he started throwing knives at everyone from the human side of the battlefield.
Even Azuma was grazed by the knives that he threw.
He came forward and started scanning for something.
And when his eyes reached Jay.
Loki :
Target located, Jay Garrick. Orders are to terminate.
He spoke in a robotic fashion and he was really a robot by the fashion of his walking. At first his joints started to creaked when he started walking due to the friction between the parts but soon the creaking stopped.
He stopped by before Jay and started at him intensely.
Jay :
What kind of robot are you now.
Loki :
I am LOKI (Lord Of Knives). I have orders to elemimate you.
LOKI :
Please Do Not Resist.
