Chapter 49 - Informed

By the time I made it back the sky had already became filled with stars.

'I'll just tell them tomorrow, there's still plenty of time until the day appears.'

..

As the door to my room was opened I saw that she was still on my bed. It was like she didn't even move after I had left. She lied under the covers; her eyes closed and her chest slowly rising and lowering.

The bed was never made for her size so she curl her legs up a bit into the blanket to fully cover herself.

'This is my bed! You made your own in a corner, so why do you have to take mine?!' Although I kind of wanted to wake her up and move her I decided against it.

'Humph, this my bed in the end! I'm not going to sleep on the floor! I'm getting in there!'

I pulled the covers up just enough to push my way into the sheets.

'Wait a minute, wouldn't this be exactly what she would want?'

"♥𝘍𝘶𝘧𝘶𝘧𝘶~♥"

Before I could act upon my own thoughts the sheets flew up and a pair of arms and legs appeared in my vision before I was restricted. Slowly being pulled back into her.

"♥I got you!♥"

'Welp I can't do anything now, might as well go with it.'

She didn't make any more movements after that for some reason, giving me 'peace' for the rest of the night.

...

Waking up she was gone once more. Turning to her web she was there in the very center in her little spider form.

When I jumped out of bed she leaped onto my shoulder perfectly.

[Well, what are you going to do now that you are going to be an Inner Disciple in another day.]

"I'm found out something yesterday. I heard that in another four days a small realm will open and this sect is going to be one of the participants of the exploration group. So I have to tell the others to get ready."

[A Small Realm? How lucky, maybe you'll find a treasure or two in there.]

"Yeah, do you know anything about them?"

[Not really, Most of the time I spent living as a human wasn't near them since when ever they appeared sects will immediately swarm in to take them. The only thing I really know about them is that they don't often appear, but when they do they usually have some treasures in them.]

"Ok, well let me tell the others that." A saw a little confused spider face in the corner of my eye as I turned toward my bag I laced beside a wall instead of the door.

Reaching in I took out a small hand held radio that's everybody in our group has used quite extensively since joining the sect. I had my radio switched off since I went out into the forest and got captured by her, ever since I came back I guess I just forgot to turn it back on

[What's that thing? Are you going to show me a new tool?]

"It's called a radio, and I can communicate with others who have it as well. Our group each has one to maintain contact."

[Is this something the non-cultivators have created to communicate with each other?]

"Um.. yes? Anyway.." Switching it on voices were immediately heard.

An angry male voice spread out into my room [-S NOT FAIR! THAT COMPEITION WAS DEFINITELY RIGGED!!!]

A calm female voice replied [Calm down Hu Daquan. It's not that bad, think on the bright side at least you lost to me and not any of the others.]

[How is that good for me?! Qiu Tu why did it have to be with you of all people that I had to go up against? Couldn't you have at least gone a little easy on me and make it look like I wasn't struggling against you?]

[Hehe it felt really good beating you up like that!]

[Cut it out you two! That match has already happened so just forget about it.] another said trying to break up the conversation.

[Come now, Liang Jia is right! Have you two fought enough already?]

[Even Rou Nuan is getting involved you two should stop.]

Two reluctant [Ok..]s came out in response

'Now's my chance to speak up!'

"Hey guys! I got some news for us! Well except for Hu Daquan, everyone else will probably be involved."

[What?]

[Oh Ip Cheng, when did start listening?]

[Hey Ip Cheng, haven't heard you use this in a while.]

[Welcome back Ip Cheng, what do you have to tell us?]

"Well we will probably be informed of this tomorrow, but we might go and explore a small realm in four days."

[...]

[What's a Small Realm?] Confusion laced the voice

"Oh.. yeah that's right you guys probably don't know. They are usually places that we enter into to gain treasure. I'm pretty sure most of them won't allow communication with the outside world. The Realm is an isolated place from this world existing on it's own. Most of the time we will be able to find some sort of treasure within them though."

[Oh ok, so we just have to prepare for it in four days, gotcha!]

[Is that all you need to tell us?]

"Yeah, that's about it. Do well to prepare for it see you guys tomorrow!" *Click* Turning off the radio.

[Ip Cheng, how come you seem to know more about those realms than I do?]

"I read about them somewhere."

[Oh ok, like book talking about them?]

"..Yeah, Something like that." 'I can't tell her that I only know about this because I'm interested in reading books from the Cultivational Fiction sections.'

Turning to my door I pulled on the handle only to find Yao Ya standing on the other side. She looked like she had been waiting for me to open the door all this time.

"Uh.. h-hey, wait how did you even get in here? I thought I locked the door."

"Don't worry about it, anyway is there anything you need to tell me?"

"As a matter of fact there is!"

"Here, let's sit on the couch together while you tell me."

"Ok, sure."

..

I basically just repeated what I told the others on the radio. All the while she leaned her head on my shoulder, staring at me the entire time.

..

"Yeah, that's about it. I'm going to go make a few inscriptions papers to use in battle when we enter that realm. What about you?"

"Well I don't have much to do, so I might as well go along with you and see how you're going to make those. Maybe I'll be able to learn a thing or two from you."

"Ok well first I would just take out my materials and organize them a little bit. Put my excess paper here and ink with the brush here."

"I'm not too confident explaining this very well so I'm not going to talk every time I do some thing. If you learn something then that's good, if not then it's alright."

Pulling out one of the sheets of paper from the excess pile I spread it on the floor in front of me. Picking up the brush I dip the tip into the into special ink, taking it out onto the paper. All the while I was still thinking of which inscription characters I should draw.

Finally thinking of what to draw I swiped at the paper with the brush and stroked it as well. Streaks of ink lined the paper until a character was drawn.

The character created one of the most basic inscriptions I knew.

Light, an inscription that just created a small amount of illumination around the paper, around a three meter radius. Maybe I should have create this first instead of going straight for one of the more useful, harder to make ones.
