Chapter 6 - PART 6 ~ BRAM'S BACK?

"Em... Clar. He's the person I showed you his picture with at that time. He's the one I said I wanted to know you," said Viona with a smile. Viona deliberately did not tell Clara in advance about her inviting the man to come to Clara's house. Viona already knows what the end will be, Clara will refuse.

Clara rolled her eyes and pulled Viona with her.

"What the hell, Vi? I have already told you. I don't want to know guys, I'm not interested!" said Clara. Clara became annoyed with her best friend. She could be in big trouble if Bram found out that a man had come to her apartment.

"Why are you angry? I just can't bear to see you continue to be single. Besides, he's a good guy. I can't possibly introduce you to a jerk like Reino," Viona annoyed.

Clara sighed and rubbed her face.

"No, I didn't mean it that way," Clara said.

"Well, don't stay here long. Too bad he's outside," said Viona and went to the man again.

Clara shook her head and rubbed her chest. This time again, she was lucky because Bram was on a business trip and couldn't come to her apartment. Clara approached Viona and the man.

They sat at the minibar and enjoyed drinks together.

"I'm Gerry," said the man who had invited Clara's house, extending his hand to Clara.

"Hm... I'm Clara," said Clara, taking Gerry's hand.

Gerry smiled and looked at the cupboard in the minibar.

"You like that kind of drink?" asked Gerry, pointing to one of the bottles of drinks that Gerry knew only men liked.

Clara looked at the bottle. She sighed. The drink belonged to Bram. Bram would drink it if he visited her apartment.

"Yes," answered Clara, lying.

"As long as you guys are friends, I've never seen you guys drink that drink," said Viona.

Clara just smiled, she didn't know what to say. There was no way he could say the drink belonged to Bram. Can cheer up her friend?

Clara drank her drink and suddenly she choked when she saw a big tall figure standing at the door of the minibar staring at her coldly. Clara's heart skipped a beat when she saw a figure she hadn't even noticed since it was there.

Clara choked and made her nose a little sore from the drink that entered her nose. Gerry swiftly gave his handkerchief to Clara and suddenly Clara took the handkerchief and immediately wiped her mouth.

Clara immediately got down from the minibar chair and was about to approach the figure who was still standing straight, staring at her intently.

"Where are you going, Clara?" Viona asked confused because she saw Clara who looked scared. Clara stopped her steps and smiled awkwardly at Viona and Gerry.

Clara sighed when she saw a tall figure disappear from the door of the minibar. She knew it must be heading to her room by now.

"My stomach hurts, I need to go to the toilet," Clara said and immediately ran to her room.

Viona and Gerry looked at each other, they were confused by Clara's sudden change in attitude. Like there was fear.

"Does she live with someone in this apartment?" asked Gerry.

Viona shook her head.

"No, she just lives alone," said Viona.

Gerry was silent, his gaze was not wrong when he accidentally saw the shadow of a person who then immediately disappeared from the glass cabinet in the minibar. Although Gerry himself could not see the person's face.

"Never mind, she's weird sometimes," said Viona.

Gerry smiled faintly and took another sip of his drink. His gaze returned to the alcohol stored in the minibar cupboard. He was sure that not only did Clara live alone in the apartment, but that other people were living there as well.

Besides that,

Clara opened the door to her room and gulped when she saw the figure she saw earlier loosened his tie and took off his jacket. Clara's gaze was directed to a fairly large suitcase. Yes, the figure was clear to Bram. Bram came to her apartment and surprised Clara because Bram was supposed to come home the next day. However, Bram had returned from his business trip a day earlier than what Bram had said, and what made Clara even more confused was that Bram had returned to her apartment.

Clara sighed when she saw Bram was silent. A year of living with Bram, of course, made Clara quite familiar with Bram's character. Bram would be silent when he was angry with her.

"Ahem... They're my friends. They came because I thought you were still on a business trip," Clara said awkwardly.

Bram didn't say anything, he remained silent as he took off his watch and placed it on Clara's dressing table.

"Do you want to take a shower? The London-Indonesia trip must make you tired, I will prepare warm water for you" said Clara.

Bram was still silent, ignoring Clara's words, making Clara take a deep breath and rush to the bathroom. Clara prepared warm water into the tub. Usually, Bram would relax his body in the warm water after a long business trip.

After preparing warm water, Clara came out of the bathroom and approached Bram.

"The water is ready. I will prepare a change of clothes for you, and you will take a shower!" said Clara.

Bram was still silent, making Clara even more awkward. She feels better dealing with people who talk a lot when angry than to face people who are silent when angry.

Finished preparing clothes for Bram, Clara was still silent in front of Bram making Bram look at Clara this time.

"Accompany your friends, don't keep them waiting," said Bram.

Clara rolled her eyes, surprised that Bram had told her to accompany Viona and Gerry.

Isn't he angry? thought Clara.

"Are you sure?" asked Clara to be sure.

Bram nodded.

Clara smiled and nodded.

"Thanks, because you're not angry," Clara said and hurried out of the room.

Bram smiled.

'It's not that simple, Clara. There's always a price to pay for being insolent,' Bram muttered.

Bram went to the bathroom and soaked his body in the tub.
