Emma looked down, embarrassed.
"I'm so sorry." She said.
"Me too," Alex answered. "But it is not your fault. You didn't know."
"Either way… I'm sorry. Losing someone you love must hurt too much."
"It does. It hurts a lot. But at least I have my son with me. He is the light of my life."
Emma smiled at that. She probably has seen a baby in her 'other life' as she used to refer to the time before she lost her memory. But now, she could not remember any baby.
"Sir… what is your name?" She asked. She told him her name, but she didn't know his.
"Oh, sorry. My name is Alex!" He said and moved his hand a bit, slowly, to try to raise it so she could hold and shook.
That name sounded familiar to her. 'Alex' , she repeated. That was a nice name.
"Nice to meet you, Alex." she smiled at him and shook his hand. "Now, finish eating and I'll take care of your wounds."And so he did.
