The day didn't take as long as Alex thought it would, to pass. Finally the clock read six o'clock and he gathered his belongings and headed for the garage to head home.
The way Moses indicated that he needed to speak in person made Alex imagine that he had discovered something very important about Camilla's past.
He got home quickly. Incredibly, there wasn't much traffic, for which he was grateful. Alex greeted Mrs. Hills as he ran across the room, up the stairs and toward the woman he loved.
She was lying on the bed, reading. The covers over her legs, covering her waist, her hair around her face and cascading down the pillow that supported her back. She seemed to be concentrating and was pouting a little with her lips as she read. Alex spent a few moments enjoying the sight.
