All the way back to his house, Anne was quiet and Jackson was not sure if that was, indeed, a good thing. She didn't complain or had an angry face. She was more neutral than anything. But he was afraid that, after listening to him, she would just decide to leave and never set her eyes on him ever again.
He opened the door and walked to his office, having Anne following him and, once inside, she sat on the chair in front of his desk, while he took his seat behind it.
"You can start to explain things to me." she said in a serious tone.
"Ok." he said and licked his lips. She saw his movement and wanted to kiss him again, but she shook her head. No! She had to pay attention to what was important!
"So…?"
