Bulma paid for the entire purchase made with her credit card and stored it inside a capsule, to be more comfortable of course and not carry loads.
They were walking aimlessly, although obviously Goku expected Bulma to take him to some restaurant or a place to eat, since that had been the deal.
Bulma remembered the agreement. Oh that she did remember him. She wanted to annoy Goku for a while, making him believe that they would not eat anything, to see how the boy reacted.
"Hey Bulma, can we get something to eat? Hehehe, I think I'm pretty hungry" said the boy, scratching the back of his head, ruffling his hair.
"Eat something? We already ate at Fusui's shop, I don't see why we should stop somewhere else" Bulma boasted showing a serious face unfortunately for the boy.
"So ... we won't eat anything?" asked the black-eyed something... sad? as if it were a puppy.
Bulma let herself be moved by compassion at the innocent and naive gaze of the black-eyed boy, and she gently and tenderly caressed her cheek.
"Of course we'll have lunch, glutton. I was just annoying you" Bulma added with a sly smile and Goku scratched the back of his neck nervously, as always.
"Great, I'm starving" the boy spoke with a dramatic expression as he frowned.
"Would you like to have an ice cream? Then at home you can eat something else if you wish" Bulma suggested knowing that the "if you wish" was unnecessary in that sentence.
"Yes of course!!" Goku gave a nod of approval and smiling, they both headed towards the nearest ice cream parlor, which was a few meters from them.
"Hey, why do you scratch the back of your neck all the time?" Bulma asked, she had seen that habit on Goku for years.
"Scratch the back of my neck?" inquired the boy scratching the back of his neck. "I don't know what you're talking about lol, let's go get that ice cream"
Bulma couldn't help but lightly pat her forehead, before her silky lips curved upwards showing a pleasant smile, she was amused enough with the witticisms and nonsense of his friend Son Goku.
More later.
That ice cream parlor was famous for the heavenly and succulent ice creams they made, they were known throughout the region.
The shrill sound of the bell was present when Bulma and Goku entered the room, which seemed to be empty, except for two women and two girls.
"Most customers come later, we have been lucky that it is not full" Bulma mentioned with a smile, but the black-haired man already had his attention on the counter where the varieties of ice cream were exposed, to say that there were many was an understatement. .
"Hi good afternoon, what do you want to order?" a green-haired girl answered them with a smile, but apparently Goku was still in a state of stunned him.
Bulma smacked him in the center of his head while she looked angry. The poor boy only rubbed the area of the blow with small tears on his eyes.
"Oh oh why did you hit me Bulma? I was just looking at the ice cream ... wait, this ice cream looks delicious!! and this one too!! They all look delicious!!" The boy commented with the fascination of a small child.
It didn't take long for a bead of sweat to appear on the temples of the two girls present. A sigh escaped Bulma's lips, followed by a shake of her head.
"Give him at least half the flavors, I think that will be satisfied" Bulma spoke sadly and the poor girl opened her eyes, which were narrowing when she saw a card with the Capsule Corporation logo.
'Thank God, I think there will be a lot of profit today' The girl could only mentally smile as she took note of the request that Bulma was making.
After ordering from her they both went to a seat. Goku wasted no time in devouring his ice cream while Bulma calmly ate Strawberry's ice cream from her.
The green-haired girl was impressed by the speed with which the black-eyed man ate her ice creams, wanting to know if she bothered to taste those ice creams.
"Slower sprinter, your brain could freeze" the waitress spoke her while she approached the table where Goku and his friend were, who saw the girl out of the corner of her eye.
"I-I think ... he already froze" said Goku speaking with difficulty, the excess of ice cream was taking its toll. At that act the girl smiled softly.
"I'm Akemi, a taste of ice brains" the girl shook his hand cordially and Goku responded smiling consubstantially. "Oh, what's your name? Unless you really call yourself «ice brains»" she added mockingly.
"Hehehe I don't think so, I'm Son Goku, I hope we get along and be friends" he introduced himself as a boy, tightening his grip and shaking Akemi's hand.
"We weren't friends?" Akemi asked with mock sadness as Bulma's eyebrow, who had been quiet until now, made a feint to arch.
"Uh, well..." The boy didn't know how to answer and scratched the back of his neck, causing Akemi to laugh a little.
"It was a joke Goku, by chance you are not the boy who participated in the martial arts tournament and reached the finals?" Akemi asked, observing Goku's hairstyle.
"Well, it's me hehehe, I lost twice in the final" answered the boy, remembering the time he lost against Jackie Chūn, the alias of Master Roshi, and against Tenshīnhan, the member of the Three-Eyes clan, being now a student of Kame Sēnnin, like little Chaotzu.
"Oh really?! Could you sign an autograph for me?" with intense emotion the girl threw the questions to Goku.
A few moments ago he seemed to be someone else, the poor raven boy couldn't help showing her confusion.
"A what?" Before she got an answer, the girl walked away from them and in less than ten seconds she returned with a napkin and a black ink pen in hand.
"Will you sign it for me? Since I was little I always followed those tournaments and I admired your courage" Akemi asserted a little blushing, which did not go unnoticed by Bulma. "Are you going to participate in the next world tournament?"
"Rest assured Akemi, I am looking forward to the moment" replied the black-haired man with a smile.
Not quite sure what he had to do exactly, the black-eyed young man stamped his name on the napkin and handed it back to an excited Akemi.
"Here, here's your ... napkin" He handed over the paper of her scratching the back of his neck and Akemi took it gladly.
First the daughter of the Briefs paid a considerable sum of money for ice cream and now she knew his hero, his idol, one of the strongest beings in the world.
"Thank you very much, I'm really your biggest admirer" Akemi asserted, that napkin would be her most valuable treasure. "Would it be too much to ask you to take a selfie?
"A sandwich? It would be great!" Akemi almost choked on her own saliva at those words. The girl smiled, before correcting Goku.
"You see, s ..." Akemi couldn't finish her sentence.
A subtle throat clearing from Bulma interrupted the conversation she had been about to initiate.
The blue-haired girl, who had been listening to the chatter between Akemi and his friend, decided to put an end to what seemed to be the interesting beginning of a friendship.
Akemi snorted in annoyance at that gesture, before a gaze duel between the two females.
The black-haired man, lost in thought and brooding, swore to see rays coming from the eyes of the two young women and colliding with each other, as if there were intense magnetism between them.
Bulma frowned and rose from her seat, taking Goku's arm tightly, who could not prevent some confusion from reigning over him at the act of her friend.
"Goku, we're going home. We've had enough for today" Bulma declared, still frowning and a surly expression on her slender features.
"But Bulma..." A threatening look was the blue-eyed response to Goku's doubtful expression, who gulped. "W-well, Thanks for the ice cream Akemi!"
"You're welcome, I hope we'll see each other soon... Goku" Akemi spoke smiling while she raised her hand as a sign of farewell, a gesture that was reciprocated by Goku.
Akemi felt her insides melt from the heat that suddenly flooded her body. She took the napkin, and decided to keep it in a good place. Customers would be arriving soon.
Bulma snorted watching her and dragged Goku out of that place, he would not return to that ice cream shop very soon. She wouldn't, unless THAT girl lets her fool around with HIS Goku.
'What am I saying?' She told herself with a slight blush as she walked absorbed down the street. No, Goku was her best friend, she didn't want him that way.
She was so engrossed with her that she didn't realize she was on the road. Luckily, before a truck threw her, Goku took her in his arms and jumped to the other side of the road.
"Are you okay? You crossed without looking" Goku's frown showed his concern, in addition to those words. Worried about her friend, and his child's mother.
"Y-yeah, I was thinking and I didn't realize it" Bulma replied blushing, at the fact that she was carried in that way. "G-goku, I think you can get me down now."
"Oh, of course hehehe" the black-haired man obeyed leaving Bulma, who showed a smile. "Are you really okay? and the baby?" asked the raven boy innocently.
"I'm fine Goku, and the baby is fine too" Bulma replied touching her belly with a smile. She really felt happy seeing that Goku's innocence remained there after so long, it is what she made him special.
