Shenyan was drawn towards a strange weapon in a rundown weapon shop in the Capital City of the Azure Flame City when he met up with the cold girl from before. He was attracted to the weapon just like when he first saw the rusty sword from the [Golden Steel Weapons] back when he went to a rundown weapon shop with Wang Lei in attempt to get some usable weapons to use for self-protection.
But unlike the last time when Shenyan was drawn towards the rusty sword, this weapon had a different a characteristic, rather than repelling him, it wants him to touch it instead. And when he did, he felt an overwhelming energy surge inside his mind, almost as if it wanted to destroy his consciousness.
'Hm? What is going on?' Shenyan was bewildered by the sudden surge of violent energy that permeated his body, reaching his mind with an attempt to destroy his will. This was clearly different from that time when he had his first weapon, the rusty sword.
