'How magical it would be to be loved by the one who hates all'

Cold wind gushed through the sinister corridor creeping up her skin like a bunch of slithering snakes, she shivered against it and wrapped her arms tight around her chest to protect her from the cold abuse. It was horrifyingly silent as she moved with trembling steps towards a destination that she wasn't aware of. glancing around with a cautious gaze Millie discovered that it was probably a castle, with the stone carved walls and intricate ceiling designs that were obscured by the dim lights she tried to study her environment the best she could. wondering how she landed herself into an unforeseen situation again she moved as fast as she could. A sweat broke on her rather cold forehead that traversed down her cheekbone, she was so aware of her surrounding that even a small squeak was enough to startle the wits out off her. she slowly felt the bone-chilling clutches of fear creep around her heart, as it thumped with an intensity making it impossible for her to concentrate. Gulping down her fear she tried to move forward as fast as she could with her shivering legs hoping to find an exit as soon as possible. her vision soon noticed the presence of a large mahogany door. relief flooded through her veins and she made a run for it. reaching the door, she carelessly pushed open the large door that entered into an unilluminated room. Squinting her eyes against the moon light that entered through the glass ceiling, she tried to focus on the makings of the room. it was a strange, peculiar room, the obvious absence of a bed stated that it wasn't a room made for accommodation, but that wasn't what was peculiar about the room, it were the green creepers that lined its walls, they didn't look familiar and since she was new to this entire world, she figured it was best not to touch anything, even if it was tempting her too. they lined the glass ceiling and covered almost all the corners of the empty room, except it wasn't. right in the middle of the room was a podium that held a glass casket, instantly attracted to it, curiosity getting the best of her, she inched forward one step at a time. it felt as if the casket had some sort of enchantment because Millie wasn't able to look away from it, her eyes were subconsciously attached to them. as soon as she reached the podium she bent down to line her vision with the casket's height. now that she was closer she noticed the expertly tangled engravings on the casket that somewhat resembled the weird creepers, as she glanced within she saw something she never expected to see, not able to come into terms with it she rubbed her eyes and when she opened them the scene remained unchanged, in there she witnessed a bright red colored flower that looked like a rose but its large petals outlined with dark violet hue gave her the impression that it was anything but that. Even when the flower was deviously beautiful there was something very sinister about it, and the sinister lied in the thing that it seemed to guard, its thorn covered stem expertly guarded the bottom half while the petals formed a cage around the upper half of a live beating heart, the heart was like any other, its bright red chambers were pumping at an inhumane speed. the unreal black veins that outlined its walls were unnerving and made her want to run away. what was this? how can something so ominous exist? a hundred questions bombarded through her brain at once as she felt the arrival of a killer headache . Her mind was so overwhelmed because of the scene that had been encased In front of her eyes that she wasn't able to understand if it was hallucination or reality. disturbed by the sight she immediately turned to fleet from the room but what stood in front of her was much more eldritch than the horrendous casket behind her. If she was scared before, now, she was terrified. her heart pummeled in its cage, threatening to jump out. Fear coursed through her veins embedding itself into the deepest parts, clawing through her nerves driving her towards insanity. the fear was so strong that she didn't even dare blink her eye. His soft, minty breath, indicating his dangerous proximity carelessly caressed her face, invoking terror in her core. his eccentric deep red colored eyes that eerily resembled the flower shamelessly followed the trail of sweat that travelled down the side of her face. The mischievous glint in them sparkled as if noticing the panic in her golden orbs. Her body started to grow weak under his scrutiny and the absence of oxygen started to deprive her body of energy, it was because of her malfunctioning lungs that had somehow forgotten as to how it was supposed to work. she tried to steady her stance and begged her numb knees to support her as she stared at the disastrously enchanting face that was amusingly staring back at her with a calmness that was nerve-wracking. it was something Millie had never witnessed before, his face was a live epitome of a how cruel and deceptive can beauty be. it was artistically divided into two halves, where there should have been a clear face, lied the delicate curves of ink that formed the mysterious rose-like flower, religiously guarded by its thorns. the petals of the flowers grazed the outline of his undereye and stopped right at the bridge of his nose, it was large enough to cover his rather sculpted cheeks, while its vines covered with thorns, exquisitely touched his forehead as they passed down his cheekbones and travelled towards the base of his neck, teasing enough for the observer to wonder as to where it disappears. if the tattooed part had surprised her than the other half had managed to baffle her, the other side that was unfairly clear of any markings and porcelain white smooth surface that begged for it to be caressed stared back at her. his luscious pink plump lips with the perfect cupid bow, chiseled cheekbones and large almond shaped eyes were the makings of 'ungodly' good looks. 'it has to be a sin to look this good' was the thought that ran through her mind the minute she finished analyzing him, but it wasn't his half inked skin that made him deviously good looking, it were his arresting scarlet orbs that stole her attention. As she gazed into them, she witnessed her scared self being reflected back and figured just how timid she appeared to the man who was standing at the height of 6 feet, a mammoth size compared to her 5'3 stature. He was standing too close to her, she wanted to push him back, she was trying to command her body to do so but the fear that lied within her seemed to have a greater control over her. Looking into his eyes she didn't even find even an ounce of emotion, she tried to study them, but only found depth emptiness with...longing?, they seemed to capture strands of loneliness that weaved themselves around him like a web, making it impossible for any feelings to exist. It somehow intrigued her when she found her hand that she had thought had lost its senses come back to life. they gingerly creeped towards his inked face, almost checking if he would react, his eyes followed my movement, patiently waiting to see their destination. Millie's hand cautiously landed over his unexpectedly soft face, she registered a slight shiver run through him, but he didn't take a step back. She carefully traced the outline of the design, internally commending its maker on the impeccable job performed on his skin, she wondered the reason behind it being drawn and obscuring his features, she didn't like it, but it did make one thing clear 'beauty lies within deception'.
He slightly came closer to her, his breath fanning against her ear as he whispered in a threating melodious voice, "Hide."
Millie woke up with a start, her chest heaving as she touched her drenched forehead, she licked her dry lips trying to provide some moisture as her mind played an infinite loop of the word ringing in her ears, 'hide.' but why would he ask her to hide, and what heck kind of a dream was that? she replayed it in her mind just to make sure if it was just some crazy hallucination, but it felt too real to be called fate, she could still smell his heady oceanic scent, a total contrast to the place where he lived, she could still feel his soft breaths on her skin igniting her senses with every minute he gazed into her eyes with his scarlet hued ones. Who was he? Why did she dream about that place? and What was that heart? she couldn't wrap her mind around the questions that were lurking in every corner, she wanted answers to them, Why did it have to be her? why was she stuck in this stupid world? why?.
