Adonis was not himself and Mrs. Pegg and Lnaxz noticed but could not do anything about it. Adonis has told them that weekend that he needed to be by himself so Mrs. Pegg has earned her son not to go asking Adonis questions because she knew how Knaxx could be.
However, Mrs. Pegg could not take it any longer. She made dinner that night and walked into Adonis's room without even knocking. She knew that if she knocked, he would most lightly not respond to her call.
Adonis was taken aback but was not surprised that Mrs. Pegg had barged into his room. It was definitely something that she could do. Somehow, at the back of his mind, Adonis had been expecting Mrs. Pegg to lose her patience and actually come to disturb him. She had even taken too long.
"You must have dinner, Master Adonis," Mrs Pegg said and she arranged the tray of food on top of a side table that was beside Adonis' bed.
