Fang Wei was in the adjacent office and she had noticed when Yong had entered into Xue's office with that lady that liked to be on her own, Li Cei. She had also noticed when Li Cei had roughly grabbed at Mao's hair just as they had entered into the office. Something was definitely going on and Fang wondered what it might be.
After the birthday party that she had attended with Xue Jing, her family, and almost all of their colleagues, Fang Wei had withdrawn from all of them because she knew that they must have talked about her -- because of her circumstance.
That night, her ex-husband had sent her a mail asking her how she was doing and it had made the whole matter worse. It was as if he had started to pity her too -- just like everybody else and Fang Wei hated how that made her feel.
