Three dirty ragdolls appeared in the right hand of the little young master. To the players suprise, the doll's were neither missing any limbs nor in a state of disrepair. The doll appeared hamless and cute.
But it was this harmlessness that had all the players raising their vigilance to the max.
In the other soft, white hand , appeared a small scroll of white paper.
As if noticing their curiosity, the little boy waved the paper at them and sang,
"This is the Madams most important treasure, if one of you manage to win this little game. I'll show you."
Before they could digest this information, Chu Yi spoke up.
In a somewhat condescending voice he asked,
"And how do we know that that paper is not just a random note. How can we be sure that it'll be useful to us?"
The other players looked at Chu Yi as if he was crazy, questioning the NPC was like asking for a death sentence. Not only would the favoribility instantly drop, who knows if the questions asked would be some sort of trigger that would set off the NPC.
But what was even more unexpected was that, the little boy didn't get angry as they'd thought, instead a sunny grin crossed his face.
"You're right mister, so here's a little hint. The Madam loves her 'Five Emperors Coin' . It's up to you to figure it out~"
He has a general understanding of this. Chu Yi remembered being shown the five copper coins of "Shunzhi , Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong and Jiaqing."
If Chu Yi remembers correctly, these five copper coins are also known as the Five Emperors' Coins. They were cast by five emperors during the heyday of the Qing Dynasty. They have the effects of exorcising evil spirits, preventing disasters, and praying for blessings. They also bear the titles of the five emperors of the Qing Dynasty. It is the most saight after among copper coins.
There are also a lot of Five Emperor Coins on the market in reality, and the price is not very high, nevertheless Chu Yi feels that the set of Five Emperor Coins in the mouth of the young master, was definitely special.
He also remembered something else, the 'Five Emperors Coins are also a medium to channel and hold luck, absorb luck and transfer the luck of a victim to another.
Luck is a mysterious and unexplainable thing, holding a deep connection with fate. Good and Bad luck are two parts of an equilibrium. Too much good luck would drain the soul and attract karma , too much bad luck would collapse the physical body. When a bodies luck is exhausted, the only thing left is for the person to wait for death. Therefore the balance of good and bad luck was crucial in sustaining life.
So how exactly is the Madam connected to this string of luck?
Only by winning the game of the young master would the be eligible eligible find out.
In a sing-song voice the master continued to explain the rules.
"It's a very simple game. For the three dolls in front you, each of you have three chances to point out the way you think they died. The right answer must be said consecutively and if by the end no-one has given the right answer, then one of you will be taken away to be my playmate."
"Each player is given 10 minutes of time to think and afterwards, they won't be allowed allowed communicate with the other players."
"Whether the right answers were gven would be told only after the game has ended."
"Simple right."
Simple my ass.
The players faces were ugly, this was tying their fates together, like grasshoppers on the same line. Even if only one player would be taken away, no one guarantee they wouldn't be the hapless soul that would be dragged away to join the horror of the castle.
Chu Yi looked thoughtfully at the little boy he had a hunch that if no one gave the right answer by the end of the game, he would be the one to be taken away.
Just didn't know if that was a ploy arranged by the wolfish rogue still hiding in the shadows.
The Young Master stared back fearlessly, grinning his pearly white teeth at Chu Yi.
There was an obvious loophole in this game however, even if one of the players got the answers wrong by combining and comparing the answers wouldn't it be easy to eliminate the wrong answers directly and eventually figure out the correct one.
However the players were quickly slapped in the face.
After some push and pull, the first player, who happened to be Shi XiaoDong, went up; unfortunately immediately after, a soundless barrier suddenly appeared around him blocking the rest of players so that no matter how much they strained their ears, they couldn't hear anything that Shi XiaoDong was saying.
"Fuck this shit!"
Bu Hua cursed with an unsightly look. Having drawn lots, he had been selected as the second person to go up. Initially he thought he could rely on and exploit this loophole to get some clues but now he could only rely on himself to go up.
While the players were looking in with worried snd anxious eyes, Shi XiaoDong was faced with a dilemma.
The dilemma?
Well he really could not tell anything by looking at the doll's in front of him. They neither had obvious scarring nor open cuts on their bodies that would clue him in on how the souls of these doll's had possibly been killed.
After thinking for a minute, Shi XiaoDong guessed that the clues to the death of these doll's were hidden in their previous encounters during the past few days.
He tried hard to think back about everything he had seen but to his dismay, the only thing he had encountered regarding the children was the 'girl in the box' on the first day told by Chu Yi and the obscured ashes from the young masters room. He still lacked the clue to the third death.
Unfortunately under the young masters dark gaze he couldn't couldn't for anymore time and could only helplessly answer,
"My answer is-."

Bu Hua walked towards the young master in trepidation, trying hard to think of anything that would help him, this was a life or death matter and selfishness could not be tolerated.
Behind him Chu Yi, Lui Quishi, Xiong Qi, An Xuefeng and Peng Qi watched him go.
These were all the remaining players left. Xiong Qi still existed in a half awake state and both An Xuefeng and Peng Qi had remained a low presence standing behind Chu Yi for the most part. Neither speaking up nor putting forward any suggestions.
It was like they didn't even exist.
Chu Yi watched with cold eyes as Bu Hua advances step by step to the NPC , a small sneer gradually making its way onto his face, rising in a seductive arc.
When Bu Hua was almost at the young master, the tension seemed to snap and the young master raised his hand with a light giggle.
"Sorry Mister, only one person is allowed to play at a time."
