"Arty! Arty ? Artyyyyyyy." , the young girl of 10 years shreiked in surprise , seeing his brother lying on the ground , bruised , the skin on his forearm scorched slightly.
She ran up to his unconscious body and started to shake him , all the while bawling her eyes out, "Arty....Arty , wake up. Arty , please." Hearing her cries of help , the teachers who were close came running to the scene , while the boys there fled.
The young boy , who was injured , was the young master of the Bloodfallen family , Arthur Bloodfallen. His crying , little sister's name was Lilith Bloodfallen.
The Bloodfallen family was a branch of one of the four major families , the Shadowblood family situated in the Imperial Capital of the Great Rosanna Empire.
The world , or as the residents off the world call it , Sarlin , was not a peaceful world at all. The Humans , Demons and Regis were at war with each other. And although the Demons were a threat to the Humans , but the Regis were an invading alien race , colonizing the world in hopes of conquering it . So they posed a bigger threat to both the other races. That's why the Claw Alliance Treaty , a treaty of peace between Demons and Humans have been formes in order to subdue the Regis forces. But , hostility and frequeant clashes still occured between the people of the two allied races from time to time.
Compared to Demons and Regis , the human race is much weaker. That is why , before the Cerullian Calendar , which marked the start of the Treaty , was even formed , in order for the Humans to be able to combat it's foes , people started awakening powers. These powers depended on fate and luck and awakened at random for a person between the age of 5-8. The powers varied for person to person and were classified in categories , based on how they appeared on people . The classification was given as the "Will of God" said thousand of years ago when people first started awakening. They were classified from Common , Rare , Epic , Special and Legendary.
Common classes were the classes which apeard commonly in people and rarity increased as the classifications went up.
The rarest , were the 5 Legendary classes. Those were the strongest , and most unique classes available.
Cardinal , Sword Saint, Dragon Emperor, Eagle Eye and Minister of Magic. They are rumoured to appear every 100 years.
But of all 5 of them , the Minister of Magic last appeared 500 years ago , when the Great Wizard , Merlin fought with the other 4 classes against the Regis in the Kingscrown Massacre Battle .
Kingscrown Massacre Battle is known to be the most successful and the most important battle between the Humans and the Regis to have occured. Thankfully , it ended as a victory.
After that , Merlin created the Tower of Magic , an association of wizards , mages and others of the kind. It was one of the most prominent associations in the Imperial Capital.
Coming back to Arthur , since he was from the Bloodfallen family, he was a part of nobility. Osr so he thought , because the Shadowblood main family always looked down on the Bloodfallen. The reason being that , Arthur's father , Robert Bloodfallen was one of the greatest swordsmen , the world had seen . He was a general in the Imperial Army , and served the Emperor for 15 years. But he lost his life on a secret mission to infiltrate the Regis camp , when he got caught and executed by the enemy.
Following the tragic incident , the Shadowbloods took this opportunity to frame Robert as a traitor and banish the Bloodfallen from the Imperial Capital.
But this wasn't the only troublesome thing for the Bloodfallen. The grave situation that Emilia Bloodfallen , the widowed wife of Robert and the current head of the family was worried about was that , Arthur , who was nearing his 15th birthday , did not awaken any powers.
This was indeed a dire situation. Even his little sister, Lilith awakened the Epic class - HEALER , when she was 6. But Arthur's power still didn't show. Emilia worried that , if Arthur didn't awaken his powers soon , he wouldnt be able to join one of the 3 schools in Crisella.
Emilia prayed that Arthur would become a famous swordsman , just like his father. Or atleast , he would become a spear-bearer. But she was scared for Arthur to show mana. Showing signs of mana was not considered good , because , it meant that the person was going to be a magic class. But the society at that time was prejudiced towards mages. Magic classes were considered to be "inferior" , "crude" , "unworthy" in the eyes of the people of the Empire , especially the nobility. Meanwhile, swordsmen received the highest respect in the society.
But for Arthur , he didn't care what powers he got , as long as he Awakened , he would be satisfied. Because that would mean he would have some means to stop the bullying he received. His sister was also a Magic class. But healers were treated well , since they could cure wounds and diseases. They were called God's blessings , and were the only magic class who got proper respect.
Since Arthur hadn't awakened yet , he was constantly bullied in school. Others used their abilities to beat up Arthur whenever they got a chance. But the ones who did the most damage were Eric and his friends.
Eric was from the Crimson family , a branch of the Phoenix main family of the Imperial Capital. His class was Blademaster , a Special class.
The same thing happened today. It was the last day of school and Eric and his friends beat up Arthur in the pavillion in front of the school gate. But upon hearing the teachers coming , they ran , leaving a crying Lilith and an unconcious Arthur.
Two teachers arrived and helped to pick up Arthur. They carried him to the school infirmary and laid him on the bed. All the while , Lilith continued healing him as best as she could. The nurse came over to check on him.
"Remove his shirt " , she said to Lilith , and she did as she was told. The nurse was a level 23 Healer , and soon enough she healed him.
"The boy is out of danger and is only unconcious. Look after him , he should wake up in the next 4-5 hours." Saying this she left , while Lilith sat beside his bed , having calmed down, with the thoughts of his brother waking up quickly.
