Jin Liwei struggled with stabilizing the car so as to prevent it from falling off the cliff as Li Fei shut her eyes tightly, not wanting to witness the horrible way they were going to die.
A while later, he was able to put the car back onto the slippery road and she opened her eyes. She gasped loudly when he increased the speed again. She looked at him and said," I forgive you! I'm going to come back to you but stop this craziness!" He continued driving and asked," Are you sure?" "Absolutely. Please pull over. I'm so scared," she said and a while later, he pulled over by the roadside.
She immediately unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the door then hurriedly left the car.
Running into the heavy rainfall, she went to the roadside and bent down before throwing up. She later felt him run his hands at her back as he said," I'm so sorry." and she turned to look at him, raged.
"Don't touch me! You're so crazy," she said as she pushed him. "Yes, I'm crazy for you and you have already given me your word."
She glared at him and her trembling lips parted as water dripped from her head and soaked her chest from her chin.
"Let's go back to the car. You will catch a cold," he said. "You're crazy if you think that I will sit back into that car." "What are you planning on doing then? Stand here at this hour of the night and in this much rainfall?" he asked, his voice raised so that she could hear her because it was raining heavily.
"I don't care! I'm not going back with you," she declared and started walking away from him. "Let's see about it then," he said and in the next second, he had scooped her in his arms and carried her towards the car even though she was struggling.
Throwing her inside, he walked to the other side and sat in then started the car, ignoring her screams and the way she was hitting him.
A while later when she had calmed down, she saw him pull over and asked," Where's this place?" "We are going to spend the night here," he told her and she looked to see that it was a motel. "There's no way I'm sleeping here with you," she said.
"Well, you have no option. You have to get out from those wet clothes because you're already trembling from the cold," he said. "And whose fault is it?" she asked glaring at him.
He ignored that and said," And perhaps, I don't think it's a good idea traveling this late and in this weather."
He checked the back seat and got an umbrella, then handed it to her. Li Fei glanced at the umbrella and ignored it then opened the door and went outside.
When they reached the motel counter, they were both dripping wet.
Jin Liwei spoke," We are looking for a single room."
Li Fei glanced at him before looking at the woman and she said," Good evening. I want a single room." The woman behind the counter searched in the book and said," Unfortunately, we have only one room left and it's a single one." "We absolutely have no problem with it. We are a couple," spoke Jin Liwei. Li Fei intervened and said," I don't know this man. Are you sure there's no other room left?" "No Miss. The rooms are often taken when the weather is this gloomy. We are sorry," she said.
Jin Liwei inched closer to Li Fei and said," Let's take that. You're going to catch a cold."
"If you care that much, you wouldn't have kidnapped me," she said. "I didn't kidnap you. I just wanted the two of us to sort our differences," he stated. "And it just ruined everything," she said.
As the two were still bickering, another couple came looking for a room and the woman at the counter looked at them before asking," Are you going to take the room? Because this couple also wants it."
"We are taking it," replied Jin Liwei. The woman looked at Li Fei who had said that she didn't know the man and she replied," Fine."
"Is there anything else you would like? Like food?" she asked while handing them the keys. "I would like a cup of hot tea," replied Li Fei and she looked at Jin Liwei who said," The same."
Reaching the room, she removed her jacket and stood wrapping her hands around her body as she watched Jin Liwei unbutton his shirt. She tore her gaze away when she saw him removing it.
"You should go to the bathroom and have a hot shower," he suggested and she realized that he was right. Walking to the bathroom, she was relieved to see that it was nice and clean, something she hadn't expected in this place. Putting the hot water in the bathtub, she removed her clothes and soaked her body into it. She closed her eyes and sighed. It felt so relaxing.
Not long after, she heard footsteps and she opened her eyes to see Jin Liwei walk to the shower room. Seeing him in only his briefs, her eyes scanned his body and back muscles.
Although she could see him through the glass wall, she decided not to look there anymore for her own sanity.
A while later, he left the shower room and from the corner of her eyes, she could tell that he hadn't bothered to cover his body with anything but luckily, he didn't bother her and just passed by. She sighed in relief and decided that it was time she left the tub.
Getting a towel, she suddenly remembered that she hadn't told Jianyu of her whereabouts and she gasped. He must be worried about her. But then she remembered that she had left her bag in the car, and there's no way she could go back in this much rain.
Going to the room, she found Jin Liwei casually sitting on the bed. She contemplated on asking for his phone, but she doubted it was a good idea as Jianyu might not like it.
