The next day early in the morning, Li Fei made way to Jin Liwei's Villa to see Yin Chen.
"Is Jin Liwei home?" she asked first thing she reached the gate. "No, the Boss didn't come back yesterday," he answered and she felt relieved then walked inside. She was told that Yin Chen was in her bedroom. Walking towards it, she knocked on it before opening.
Looking to the door, the old woman was surprised and happy to see her. "Li Fei, what a surprise." "How are you Yin Chen? I missed you so much," she said sitting on the couch. "I'm alright. Have you just arrived?" she asked.
"I arrived three days ago, I've been staying at Liling's. You look weak. Are you really fine?" "Yes you shouldn't worry. You know us old people with our sicknesses," she said. "That's so bad. Are you having proper treatment?" she asked. "Yes the physician always comes to check on me. How have you been?" she asked. "Fair," she replied and the door opened to reveal two maids who came in. One asked if Li Fei wanted something but she said that she was okay while the other had come to make sure that Yin Chen took the medicine.
"Have you come to stay here with us?" she asked when they left. "No. In fact, I'm going back to Beijing today evening," she revealed. "What?! Why? Did the Young Master allow it?" She smiled and said," He doesn't know about it and please don't tell him." "Sure. But... is everything okay between you two?" she asked. "Yes. You shouldn't worry," she said. Talking for sometime, Li Fei gave her the gifts she had bought for her and asked to leave.
Going back to Liling's house, she started preparing herself for the journey. If Jin Liwei wanted things to be talked about, he was the one going to chase after her. She had decided not to chase him again.
"You're done with everything?" asked Liling who came in. "Yes," she replied tying her hair into a ponytail. She came to stand behind her and said," I still think that you should stay a while longer. Maybe go back next week." "I can't remain in Shanghai given the dynamics between us. It is so hard for me honestly," she said turning to look at her. Liling took a while to say, "Okay. If you say so. But you should hide the hickey on your neck or else, your parents might see it." She gasped when she remembered and she checked for a scarf amongst her things and after wrapped it around her neck.
"It's covered. Let's go then," she said and Liling helped her with the luggage and they headed to the airport.

When Li Fei reached home late in the night, her parents were sleeping and she went to her bedroom. Slumping on her bed, she realized that the trip was a failure. It turned things to worse and she regretted ever going to Shanghai. She wondered if Jin Liwei would feel sad that she had left, or was he going to act normally? She didn't want to have expectations though in fear of being disappointed in case he doesn't show up here. She called Liling to inform her that she had reached safely and after, she cleaned up before going to bed.
"I was surprised when I heard that you came back," Li Mei said when they were at the table having breakfast. "I told you didn't I? I only went to see Liling's restaurant," she said slicing her bread and she added," How is Dad?" Ever since the surgery, he had all his meals in the bedroom.
"He's fine. Getting better with every passing day. So tell me, are you going back to the company?" "I was thinking the same thing but I will go back after the New year's celebration. It's in a week after all," she replied. "You reminded me of the new year's celebration. I had plans for the four of us going for a vacation having taken long to celebrate with the two of you but we can't travel with your father in this condition."
"You shouldn't worry mother. We still have many days coming our way and this can wait," she said and Li Mei nodded.

At the same time, Jin Liwei had finished a whole packet of cigarettes which he had started smoking early in the morning as his thoughts were running hard. He didn't like the state in which the two of them were. It hurt him so much. They needed to sort things out or else he was losing his mind. He thought of the best thing to do. He was going to convince her to come with him to Guilin for the new year's celebration where they were going to talk and make things right. Even if she refused to come with him, he was going to force her. From there, he was never going to let anything come between them, not even her parents.
He stood up and went to bathroom then had a bath before dressing up. He decided to use the cufflinks she gifted him so as to make her happy. Looking at himself in the mirror, he ruffled his midnight black hair because she had told him that she loved it that way since it gave him a wild look.
Leaving the penthouse, he drove heading to Jing Yue's house to meet her. On his way, he remembered that he had never taken her out for dinner as normal couples do and he scolded himself for that. Surely tonight, he was going to take her and show her that she was the only woman in his life.
Reaching the house, he went inside and asked the maid to call him Liling well knowing that Li Fei might refuse to come meet him. "I'm sorry Mr Jin Liwei, Mrs Jing left for work."
He hummed before saying," Call me the guest then. Mrs Li Fei." "The miss left yesterday evening and I'm not sure whether she will be coming back as she went with her luggage," she politely said. Luggage? Where could she have gone? Could it be possible that she went back to Beijing? He doubted she would go back before the two sorted out things.
