On the way, Li Fei asked Jin Liwei to inform Yin Chen that she couldn't bid her farewell because an urgent matter came up.
Not long after, they reached the airport and Jin Liwei hugged her. "Call me as soon as you reach. And don't hesitate to tell me if you need anything," he said to which she nodded. "Thank you," she said and he replied," Anytime. Go now."
She immediately picked her luggage and went to board.
Two and a half hours later, she was in Beijing and she immediately made way to the family hospital. Reaching, she found Jianyu in a corridor probably waiting for her. "How is he?" she asked the moment she reached him. "He's unconscious but out of danger from what I've heard. You were really fast," he commented as he led her to where they were.
Reaching the room, she opened the door and entered to see her mother and Jiang. "FeiFei!" her mother was surprised to see her. She was quick to hug her," How are you Mom?" she asked. "I will be fine. When did you come back?" she asked. "Jianyu informed me and I came as soon as I could. How is he Dad?" she asked looking at the unconscious him lying on the bed.
"Something serious came up," said Li Mei. "What do you mean by something serious?" asked Li Fei.
Li Mei looked at Jianyu who was in the room with them and he knew that they needed some privacy after all, he wasn't family. "I will step out a bit," he said before exiting the room.
Li Fei looked at her Mom and said," Tell me Mom." "He was diagnosed with prostate cancer," she revealed. "What?!!" Li Fei was shocked, "B-but how?" "We don't know either. They said that it's still in first stage and they can heal him through surgery as it hasn't yet spread outside the prostate gland," she explained. "Then let them do it right away," she said. "We are waiting for him to wake up so that we can inform him," she explained. "Okay," Li Fei looked at him again. When Li Mei went to sit on the couch, she supported her cheek with her hand.
"It is all because of that man," she mumbled with a grim expression on her face. "Which man?" Li Fei asked looking at her.
"Jin Liwei. Who else? You're father has always been a healthy man not until we crossed paths with him," she continued to say. Taking a deep breath, Li Fei said," Ain't you being a little unfair Mom?"
"Unfair? After everything that has happened?" "It is the same as blaming me for the mistake I did four years ago, " she said.
"I think father needs a quiet environment," Li Jiang interrupted them.
Li Jiang looked at Li Fei before his eyes settled on their unconscious father.

Waking up, Liling attempted to stretch her body but she felt restricted and on opening her eyes, she saw Jing Yue who was embracing her and she remembered that they were on their honeymoon. Yes, she was a married woman and a wife of no one else but Jing Yue. He had chosen her an ex convict among the many and loved her unconditionally. When she remembered what happened between them last night, her hands reached for her belly and she caressed it.
Did it mean that there was a life growing inside of her right now? She couldn't help but smile.
"What are you smiling at?" Jing Yue asked.
"Nothing," she replied avoiding his gaze. "Why ain't you looking at me then? You're shy?" he asked and when she didn't reply, he continued," That wasn't the case last night. You were so bold asking me to- " "Will you shut up?!" she exclaimed looking at him, her face red. "What? Isn't it the truth?" "Can you stop?!" "First tell me that you liked what we did last night," he continued to tease her. "The whole night you mean?" she asked rolling her eyes and remembering something, her eyes brightened and she said," Jing Yue, do you think I became pregnant? That a life is growing inside of me?" His eyes narrowed at her in displeasure and he asked," You mean that was what you were thinking about all along?"
"No, I mean yes. We are married ain't we?" she asked.
Initially, he hadn't planned on having kids with her yet for he wanted to first have enough time with her. But if it's what she wants then, he can't refuse her. "You really love kids, don't you?" he asked and she enthusiastically nodded. "We should get back to practice then," he said before hovering above her again and kissed her lips taking her back to the events of last night.
In the morning, Li Bao gained consciousness and Li Jiang left to call the doctor.
"How are you feeling dear?" Li Mei asked looking at him worriedly. "I am feeling better. Li Fei, when did you come back?" he asked when he spotted her. "As soon as I knew what happened." "You cancelled your trip because of me?" "Come on Dad, you're more important and perhaps, I was almost done with it," she said and that moment, Li Jiang arrived with the doctor.
They gave him space so that he could check up on him and he said," He is doing fine but we shouldn't delay the surgery. It will be better if we perform it in two weeks." When they agreed, he left and Li Bao looked at them to say," Surgery? What was he speaking about?"
"Uhm...I think we should get you something to eat," said Li Mei excusing herself.
Li Fei sat with him on the bed and asked," How are you feeling right now, Dad?" "Better. Tell me, how was your friend's wedding?"
"Good," she said before continuing to say," You really scared me. Promise me that you're not leaving me, Dad?" "Of course not. There's no way I'm leaving my spoiled daughter alone," he said and she pouted her lips before saying," But Dad, I'm no longer spoiled."
