"When did you come back? It irks me that I get to know about you on social media, Li Fei. Why didn't you tell me anything?" he asked taking a seat at the couch. "I don't think I have to tell you when and where I go because for as long as I remember, we ended things, Hu Feng," she said after sitting on her bed.
"You ended things. I never approved of it. How did you escape from that man?" he asked implying Jin Liwei. "We both know that it's what's best," she said. "I think what we need to do is talk. Why don't we go to a peaceful place and talk? Let's go for dinner tonight, what do you think?" he suggested.
"I think I will pass," she rejected immediately. "Why's that?" he asked.
"I don't feel like going out to dine and perhaps, nothing can be resolved between us. I already moved on Hu Feng, and you should do the same," she said.
"You moved on? Is it with that man Jin Liwei?" he asked. "And what if it is?" she retorted back. "I will understand then. That you dumped me because I wasn't wealthy and powerful enough," he said. Li Fei chuckled at this and said," I dumped you? Ain't you the one who was sleeping around while I was in prison? And to make it worse, you were sleeping with my top rival!! You know what, I don't want to say much. I would like to have some rest," she said and he looked at her for long before saying," We ain't done yet."
At night when having dinner, Li Fei said," Mom, Dad, I wanted to start helping out at the company." They were both surprised at that because for as long as they remembered, Li Fei hated anything to do with the family business. But then, Li Mei remembered that she worked for Jin Corps in Shanghai. "Are you sure about it Li Fei?" her father asked. "Yes. I remember telling you that I pursued a business course in prison," she said and her father nodded before saying," When do you want to join in?"
"Probably next week," she said and he nodded.
She had decided to go work at the company hoping that it would help her keep her mind occupied. She realized that sitting home for the whole day was not helping her in removing Jin Liwei from her mind.

That same night in Shanghai, Jin Liwei was working when he heard a message buzzing on his phone. Ever since Li Fei left, he had not gone back at the house and spent his nights at the penthouse. He had gone back to working overtime so as to occupy his mind.
Checking his phone, it was Jing Yue's message on WeChat and he opened it. He had sent photos and on downloading them he saw photos of Li Fei and Yan Jianyu sitting somewhere. Jing Yue on sending had captioned," The early bird catches the worm..." He frowned and took a closer look at the two photos. Although they were not sitting close to each other, he didn't like the fact that they were sharing a seat. It looked as though they were from jogging and it made him wonder if they did it everyday and if she was considering having a relationship with him. That instant, Jing Yue sent another message saying,' Don't say I didn't warn you.'
He tossed the phone on the table and pinched the space between his brows before taking a deep breath. He didn't like the fact that she affected him this much.
Next week as planned, Li Fei woke up early on Monday and she prepared herself. They had agreed with her father that she was going to be the personal assistant of the Vice President. She left the house with her Dad at eight in the morning and drove to the Li Enterprises. On reaching the company, many of the employees looked at her surprisingly. They realized that the news about her coming back were true. She saw some of them whispering to themselves but she didn't pay heed to them. Some of them on seeing her became worried thinking that she had come to boss them around it being their company.
Her father took her straight to her office which was located on the top floor together with the President and Vice's office. "I promise not to disappoint you, Dad," she said. "I know," he said. He didn't care if she disappointed him or not, he would do anything for her.
Just that moment, his assistant came to inform him that the board members were waiting for him to start the meeting. He thought that it was the perfect opportunity to introduce his daughter to them and he took her with him to the board room.
Reaching the board room, all the members stood up to recognize his presence but they were surprised on seeing the president with his daughter and among the surprised ones was Yan Jianyu who was the Vice President and second largest shareholder in Li enterprises.
On taking his seat, they all sat down and he asked Li Fei to sit besides him. "Good morning everyone. Thank you all for making it at this meeting and on time. I know most of you are wondering why I came with my daughter. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that she's going to be the personal assistant of the vice president," he said. The board members had different reactions on this but most of them didn't approve of it because of her reputation and the big scandal she was involved in. She is an ex-convict!
Li Fei could see that many didn't like it and as her eyes swept through them, she caught sight of that man, Yan Jianyu who was looking back at her and she internally gasped. What a small world! She thought that she had completely avoided him when she stopped jogging but here he was! She couldn't believe it.
