Seeing this, Jin Liwei stood up and left the office. He had only come to know the situation in which Li Fei was and he had no time nor the interest to deal with Caihong.
Standing next to the bed, Jin Liwei looked at the girl. It was the very first time he was seeing her in person. Her wound was dressed and he caught sight of the blood that had stained the bandage. She was connected to blood and water drips. As a quick observer he was, he noticed that she had greatly changed in appearance. She looked to be calm, the total opposite of what he had seen as well as what others knew. He wondered if it was because she was sick.
His gaze concentrated on her facial features. He noticed that she had trimmed her hair. Her skin pale and eyes closed, her lips were pale as well.
Li Fei who was sleeping suddenly felt a certain presence which prompted her to open her eyes but the moment she saw the person standing and looking at her, she gasped in shock. It was that man Jin Liwei, the one she was terrified of. He kept his gaze on her unwavering and she felt as if she had lost her will to speak.
Her breath hitched and she felt her heart shudder wondering what he was going to do next. Was he going to strangle her to death?
Li Fei had met a lot of powerful people while in the modeling industry but she had never met someone with such an imposing aura.
When Jin Liwei realized that she had woken up, he kept looking at her and later, he left the place. Li Fei felt like she could catch her breath once again. It surprised her that he didn't say or do anything to her given the opportunity and close proximity.
The moment Caihong saw Jin Liwei leave the room, he immediately entered to check if he hadn't done anything to her. "You're alright?" he asked the moment he approached her. "Yes," she whispered. She still hadn't gotten over the fact that he was just there. "Did he say or do something?" he inquired once again. "No. He just kept standing looking at me." "Okay. Go back to sleep then. You need it," he coaxed her and she closed her eyes but sleep was far away. His image standing in a black suit was all her mind was displaying.

"Who did it?" Jing Yue asked the moment Jin Liwei told him what happened. They were at the golf course spending some leisure time playing the game. "They were definitely inmates. Perhaps she made enemies in prison given her character," Jin Liwei said as he paused his actions. Jing Yue took this opportunity to say," Don't you think you have made her suffer enough Jin?"
"I am the one to decide that," he said. "I know. Let me tell you this Jin, I'm sure Shan is disappointed in you wherever she is," said Jing Yue. Jin Liwei glared at him and he continued," What? I'm telling the truth. She's so disappointed in you because she taught you to be better. And now look what you're doing?"
Three weeks later, Li Fei had healed but Caihong refused to discharge her until a month and one week. Using this opportunity, she would communicate with her family throughout the time she spent in the health care.
The moment she left the sick bed, she continued with studying her business course.

A year later....
Li Fei and Liling picked up their graduation certificates from the lecturers office. In the normal world, they would have been conducting a graduation ceremony but they were in prison and none of that could be done in such a place. Nonetheless, they were happy that at least they had done something productive.
Going back to the cell, Li Fei found a box on her bed and on opening it, it was a cake sent by none other than Caihong and in the same box, there was a card with congratulatory message. She smiled at his thoughtfulness.
"He's such a darling," said Liling the moment she saw the cake. "Indeed, he is," she said.
After sharing the cake with their cell mates, Li Fei laid on her bed. Liling was leaving in only a month yet she had three years in this place. Sighing, she closed her eyes and decided to sleep.

On the New year's Eve, Li Fei didn't leave her bed because she had no reason to celebrate when Liling was going in a week. "FeiFei. Let's go watch the fireworks," Liling proposed. She wanted to divert her mind because she noticed that with every passing day, she became sadder as her release day drew nearer.
"You go ahead. I don't have anything to celebrate," objected Li Fei.
"You shouldn't be sad FeiFei. I will be seeing you with Caihong's help. I will not abandon you." Liling assured her. Li Fei finally decided to go and celebrate the New year's Eve with her when she still had the chance.
During the course of the week one day, as Li Fei was lining up for food, she was pulled out of the line and it was none other than Liling. "You have to come with me and see this," was all she said and grabbed her hand then started to run. As much as Li Fei was confused, she had no option but to follow her. "Where are we going?" Li Fei asked after some moment.
"Just come with me," she answered and continued walking or running to be exact. Stopping in a corridor, Liling pointed on the wall and excitedly said," Look!"
When Li Fei's eyes scanned the piece of paper, she whispered," It can't be. Impossible." "It's your name, Li Fei," said Liling hopefully.
Li Fei could never believe that she was among the few people that were going to be released next week on remission. They might have made a mistake. There's no way that man Jin Liwei could accept this.
