Aether gritted his teeth. The people's expressions were empty, their eyes cloudy. They glared off into the distance as their mana slowly drained away. If the Fae kept this up, those people were going to slowly perish and die.
He clenched his fists and turned away from them. Even if he wanted to help, he stood no chance against the Fae as he was now. Even with the Lord's help, he didn't think there was much he was going to be able to do.
After taking a few quick breaths to calm himself, he broke into a past paced run again. The faster he got away from the centre of the cavern and reached Castle Yotsura, the better it was going to be. He hoped that at the very least they would be able to protect the castle itself.
Explosions sounded behind him a short while later, and when he looked back over his shoulder, he noticed a barrage of spells raining down upon the Fae. His steps slowed until he came to halt. Wide eyed, he watched the barrage of spells descend on her.
