"Wake up!" Aether felt someone's hand on his shoulder. The hand shook him awake from his uneasy slumber. His eyes shot open, only for him to sigh in relief as he recognised Miranda's face in the dark.
"What's wrong?" He asked as his racing heart calmed. He pushed himself up to a sitting position. "You're worried." He stated. The librarian nodded, pale faced.
"It's morning." She said, her voice low, and higher pitched. Her gaze looked past him, out through the round glass window, towards the distant tower, and the Orb.
It took Aether a split second to understand the meaning behind her words. It was morning, yes. And the orb wasn't shining brightly. The caverns were still shrouded in darkness, with no light to be seen. "It's begun." He muttered as he followed her gaze. It had indeed began, as he saw not a single trace of mana, no weaves of magic as his eyes shone silver. "I need to get to going." He started on his feet, and shot Miranda a quick glance.
