Miranda shot a quick glance towards the door as the heavy silence covered the room. The Lord had a thoughtful expression as his gaze seemed to pierce through everything. He was lost in thought, and that was rare for this man.
Miranda waited, worried about how her words would affect things. It was never her intention to cause drastic changes. She was the watcher of records, it was her job to make sure history was never forgotten. That none of its details were ever forgotten. Not the good, happy times, nor the dark, gritty, and painful times.
"Thank you Miranda," The Lord's voice startled her. He showed a faint smile, causing her eyes to widen. "Please make sure to keep your eye on the young man. He will be very important."
Miranda felt weight lodge itself in her chest. "He has a role to play still?" She asked. Wasn't it enough already? Aether deserved at least a short while to rest, didn't he?
