The spell was complex, more so than he had first thought it was. The wide, bright lines of mana spread through the whole settlement, not just the castle, and formed a symbol Aether knew too well already: a seven pointed star.
He clenched his fists and followed the flow of magic with his gaze. The caster… where were they? A single person couldn't possibly cast this spell but how had several people infiltrated the castle?
Even more questions popped up in his head as he located the source of the spell; the large, circular building at the very centre of Castle Yotsura. The Obsidian room, Lord Yotsura's private study. The place where everything vile in this castle took place.
His shoulders dropped as he looked at the flow of mana again. "Seriously?" He muttered, a hint of confusion in his voice. How could the spell be originating in the obsidian room?
