The elderly woman pressed her lips together. "Those who did surely are dead." She stated. "The rifts were wide and refused to collapse on their own. We interfered but failed to close them as the creatures coming out were simply too strong." She folded her arms, her gaze lingering on Aether. "They are surely lost."
Aether furrowed his brows. She seemed awfully sure about that. Too sure. "Whether they survived or not, wildmagic surges need to be contained. We cannot allow the lower caverns to be completely flooded with wild mana." He stated and watched as the woman's eyes narrowed even more.
"It would be a waste of manpower to attempt to interfere with the surges," The woman said with an unpleasant expression. "The rifts are large and strong, and the creature coming through are nothing to be scoffed at."
