Fen sat cross legged on the bed, his curious gaze focused on Aether's back. Aether ignored him, he fiddled with his black leather gloves, looking out through the window, into the distance.
"What happened?" Fen asked again. "You seem troubled, for the first time to this degree. Something must have happened."
The young man's keen eyes had of course noticed something was wrong. But then again, he hadn't really been acting like himself.
"Some of what Madam Yotsura told me were troublesome news." Aether said with a sigh. "It's nothing for you to concern yourself with. Just… The usual plotting and scheming." He removed his left glove and stroked the back of his hand. The black mark left by the dagger was still there. It would take a few more weeks to recover.
Fen leaned forward. "If it was just the usual plotting and scheming, I don't think you'd be losing sleep over it." He commented.
