"That was the last one." Mara whispered before collapsing to the ground. She pressed her palms on her eyes and let out a low whimper.
"What's wrong?" Freya knelt beside the young woman. The blade of fire in her hand disappeared. "Did one of them hit you?" She asked, worried.
"My eyes hurt." Mara muttered. "I could barely see them, so…" She shook her head. "I'll be fine, I just need a moment." The tone of her voice did not sound like she was going to be fine at all. Erika approached them as well, she knelt beside Mara and lightly squeezed her shoulder.
"Thanks, Mara." She said with a smile. "We wouldn't have been able to kill them without your help."
Freya got up and stepped back as Erika continued calming down Mara. She glanced at Iris. The young woman seemed nervous. She was tapping her fingers on her arm, her brows were furrowed, and her gaze constantly scoured their surroundings.
