By the time they reached the entrance to the Crystal Caverns, Freya had long since lost her sense of time. Was it day, or was it night? Had they been walking for hours? Had it been half a day perhaps? Or more? Less?
It was impossible to tell. The ever twisting and turning tunnels had quickly become monotonous to follow, and Iris' silver orb of light illuminating the way didn't help much as it was pale and weak, and it's light only shone to their immediate surroundings.
Freya already missed the sky, and the auroras. The sun, the stars, the clouds… Anything, she wanted anything around them to change with the passage of time, yet all that changed was the depth they descended.
