"Care to explain what the hell you two are doing here?" Iris scolded the two girls who had just passed through the gate before it collapsed. A silver ball of light illuminated their surroundings, shining a pale light upon the cavern walls.
"Uhh…" Mara hugged her leatherbound notebook tightly. Her fingers clenched around the book's edges. "Well…" She muttered.
"I head you guys say something about lying to Lady Luna, so I tailed you here." Erika replied with a grin, seeing as Mara was struggling to find words. "And I kind of happened to drag Mara along with me." She hesitated. "So," her gaze wandered about. "Why are we in a cave?"
Iris facepalmed. "By the gods…" She whispered as Freya burst into laughter.
"Hang on." Fen pointed at Mara. "Do you remember him?"
Freya's laughter subsided. That was a good question.
"Remember who?" Mara's words were met with stunned silence. "I don't understand." She mumbled.
