Luna watched the being, shrouded in mist, slowly move away from her and the little platform floating along an invisible string of mana. Her gaze searched for Aether, yet nothing caught her eye. The glimpse of silver she had caught earlier was nowhere to be seen either.
Eventually, she sat down with nothing to do. "Don't you dare be dead." She whispered, nervously fiddling with the cloth of her coat. She couldn't help but feel a lump in her chest, making it difficult to breathe.
For a short moment there, she was certain she would die. That the light of her life would be snuffed out right then and there, by a being so inexplicable that she couldn't even name. Her expression turned bitter – it reminded her of Aether's words from a while ago.
