Ten days passed seemingly in the blink of an eye. Unease and nervousness ruled Fawn's Academy throughout those days as both the regular students and the contestants half expected another change of plans.
Yet, the dreaded day of the journey came eventually. Of course, not all students were coming along, and neither did all teachers. Professor Cross was the only other adult besides Lady Luna who accompanied the group. All five remaining contestants came, and so did a handful of other students, one of whom was Iris.
Lord Soren Ladran would remain in the academy for a few days longer before heading off on his own. His promise to Aether was to arrive before the matches officially began – council business, he said when Aether asked why he didn't join them. From the grim expression on his face, Aether could guess what was happening.
