"You are late." Lady Luna's frown was almost scarier than her tone of voice. "What took you so long?"
Aether paused for a moment to catch his breath. He had run all the way from the eastern side from the academy to here.
"I can only run so fast." He said, somewhat out of breath. "I wish you would have told me earlier, so I would be the one waiting instead."
Lady Luna chuckled. "I'd rather be the one waiting. Less… unpleasant surprises that way."
What she implied was clear as day, and Aether did not appreciate it at all. "Right." He sighed, "Then lead the way."
Lady Luna smiled, then headed to the woods. The same forest he had fought the black mage in. They walked in silence for a while, and only stopped once they reached the lake.
"Nostalgic." Aether commented. "Why this place?" The scars of the land that had appeared during his battle had already healed. Lady Luna's magic that day was quite a feat to behold.
