The defiance screaming from Atlas was almost funny, he was rubbing the back of his head where I smacked him while he glared at the bunk bed opposite us. I simpered.
"Whatever you're trying to do, it will never work, Atlas," my hand gestured between us. The Alpha removed his scathing glare from the innocent bunk bed and turned to me.
"Why not?" He said in a gripe. The defiance was still very much present as he stared me down, like it'd scare me. I grinned at him again.
"We're not going to happen, Atlas. I'm not going back down that road, sorry to burst your bubble. Why are you even bringing this up? We're here for an entirely different reason," I noticed how his shoulders slumped forward, contradicting his usual proud posture. There were multiple times that I've wanted him to react like this, but it was long gone now, dwindling to nothing.
